What an odd crime post!? Tell me again what the reason for the season is? I don't know wether to be upset with the church, or to be upset with the paper and the cops for reporting it, or upset with both! What a disappointing example of what a Christian example should be in so many ways. Whatever happened to WWJD?
Let me get this straight, 11:23. Wild-eyed crazy guy shows up at your house and you're going to let him use the phone? And when he starts ranting, raving, and kicking up a fuss you aren't going to call the police?
Crime reports are public record, and the police don't have the option of not posting them. And it's probably the most popular portion of the WCM. Probably makes people feel a little safer that these are the biggest crimes, for the most part, from week to week.
this is a sad day they could have asked him to wait while they placed a call for him or did there best to work with him in getting him a little help sounds like this place is not a church just a money collecting building using god as the cover up on the whole matter
1:29 - Sounds like they have the right story -You can't be too safe - even at church. People target churches during the holiday season. They know the offerings are up and it's an easy "kill". They wait until they can catch the last to one leave before they make their move. So, before you dog the church, think of how smart the person was to call the police. If the "man" was still there when the police came - then offer help. If he leaves because you called the police - you know he wasn't just there to use the phone. It's a no brainer folks! The person's instinct to call - might have just saved a life.
There were two winches stolen from the company I work with as well. One of winches was found by her husband but the other one has never been located....... many think she went home to Mama.
Folks, a church staff person is not going to call the cops unless there is something going on. You do not have the full story. Perhaps the "male" was drooling and his eyes were glazed. Perhaps he asked to use the effing phone, bitch. Perhaps he had been previously seen prowling around. Perhaps he was going to kill.
How does a person drive a car up and down a road? Which way is "up" the road? Right, or left? When a person says "he lives just up the road" which direction is that? Does that person also live "a little bit down the road"? We walk up and down floors, too. How?
I've never been harassed by emails or text messages. The only way to get harassed is to keep looking at the harassing messages. In today's society, you'd think that NOTHING came with an off switch.
Wait 9:53 stop with all the logic...you are screwing up those people who want to think badly of the church their excuse to. Obviously the only reason they called the police was because they are hypocrites and aren't properly practicing what they preach...even though those who complain hate what is being preached...they need for the guy asking to use the phone to be neat tidy polite...perhaps an honor roll student and the evil christain turning him away for no reason at all.
Okay Christmas is over and I'm gonna bust that fake Jarhead guy. Real veterans frown on phony clowns like him.
I'm good at exposing frauds like The Jarhead Manifesto jackass and I have a multitude of real veteran Marines to back me up. And I'm only a former sailor.
Above the phone post, "Countryside Baptist Church - Unknown suspect broke into church and stole electronic equipment, musical instruments and a heater."
Hey Barry, I want to use YOUR phone. You don't know me and I look like I could kick your butt. No?

What about those teens "singing a song in a very harassing manner."
Kids these days...

Oh for the love of Pete, 11:23. Would you please ask Santa to bring you a sense of humor next year?
Those kids were prob. just singing Christmas songs!

All churches are, are businesses. The guy probably didn't have anything to "offer" so he was basically useless to them.
Happened on a Friday. Probably not many (maybe only one) people at the church. Not a good idea to let the crazy meth heads in when you're alone.
I guess that whole "church sanctuary" thing is no longer in effect? Good thing he wasn't non-white.

Wonder if the guy who went to the church in Anodarko Oklahoma a few months back asked to use the telephone.
Clearly the dude does not have a direct line of his own!

People that let their pets roam should not be allowed to report them missing.

I question your Christianity.
Not a very Christian respond to an individual during the holiday season!
WWJD
Get out of my Church!
Do not come here again!
We do not want people like you here!
Off to jail with you.
Merry Christmas!
Humbug!

I feel the love!
