Sheriff Announces (Alleged) Church Thieves Arrest

And on Christmas day I watched an episode of Dragnet where Friday and Gannon were hunting down a guy who had (allegedly) stolen the baby Jesus from a nativity scene. I don't think the stories are related.

Do Churches file charges or do they forgive? Turn the other cheek?

You know this blog is going downhill fast when the best looking girl pic in over a week is the substitute weather girl for the local Fox News station.

file charges...then forgive. i wonder how many catholic churches were burgularized by these guys?

Where are those commentors that were ripping the church that called the authorities because someone that appeared suspicious came knocking and wanted to use the phone, then got pissed when he was not allowed entry?

suprised it didnt say that "Chief Rex Hoskins located the suspects after HE investigated the burglaries himself." Now why do the citizens of Decatur need all those officers if they have 1 Rex Hoskins?

The church I attend had some equipment stolen. The person was found, arrested, found guilty by the law, and sent to jail.

Ever wonder why many churches now have alarm systems?

It is just good sense.

Funny how Walker tries to get his headlines on something that his office didn't solve and his deputies didn't catch the burglars. He's just gotta get in front of that camera and get his name in the paper. Priceless!

10:55 Cut it out Rex.

I see someone beat me to the punch regarding Crane's comment. Reporting the offense and forgiving are two different things. Reporting does NOT mean lack of forgiveness. Nowhere in the Bible does it condone lawless behavior. In fact, Christians are exhorted to obey the law of the country they belong to as much as possible, and civil disobedience is only to be used as a last resort when the law directly is in violation with God's law, with the warning that you may then suffer the consequences of violating that country's law (and therefore be what is referred to as a martyr). Christians reporting a crime against them are merely following the law of their country. Crane likes to spout off about things.

That episode of Dragnet was on at my mom's. She still loves the old channel 52 programs in spite of a recent upgrade to satellite.
The priest was telling Sgt.Friday that a Wise Man was chipped and the donkey was cracked. I turned to my brother and said "Hey, my a$$ is cracked too, but you don't hear me complaining", just as my mom was walking into the room. Merry Christmas, ma!
I guess you could blame it on my not being raised right, but that would make it her fault. And I'm not gonna stand here and let you bad-mouth my mom like that!

Walker gives credit where it is due. I was the one who arrested the idiots.....and he told his press release guy to make sure he mentioned BOYD PD. Thanks Walker we appreciate the shout out!

I am wondering if these people are responsible for the recent break ins at Reatta Estates. The last break ins were some young teenagers from the metroplex area. Hopefully, there is a connection and the residents at Reatta can feel that some progress is being made with resolving the crime in our neighborhood.

2:15pm, you may be right. The one from Decatur has connections not far from Reatta Estates and also has connections in the Metroplex. He is also the same kid that took a gun into the football stadium at Decatur homecoming a few years ago.

No ties to Reatta Estates,,,aparently those kids are like 16 years old. I saw a bunch of Ft. Worth Detectives visiting with the Sheriff and his top investigators last week about Reatta.......
