Ugh. I HATE those moments right after a hard fought loss-for either team, boys or girls. The raw emotion, the pain, are tough to watch. They so desperately just want one more minute...Got to love that passion...

Awesome story Joe! Wish the ending was happier though!

It is Presley White's nickname. and her brother collin and his friends decided to put that on their stomachs... but they also had other players numbers on their backs... Those 4 students gained the respect of all the bridgeport fans, they were loud and never stopped. thank you guys for supporting our SISSIES

Great Job Joe. Wish the outcome could have been better.

If only they were that motivated about their own basketball games! I'd respect them more if they put the same effort into their own games personally.

It never seems to amaze me how every blog that involves students or athletes on this site always attracts negative responses towards the kids.

10:24 - Personally I would respect you more if you would keep your negative comments to yourself. Remember these are still just kids - kids who participate in various sports, clubs and other various organizations. They stay out of trouble and all have good grades. As these kids become young adults I believe they deserve our appreciation and support.

Great Pictures of GREAT KIDS!!!! Thank you Joe for taking pictures of our girls game.
And to you 10:24 I am sorry that you are so narrow minded that you can't see pass wins and losses and to see kids (no matter what town they are from) supporting each other on their achievements ! I am so proud of all our Bridgeport Kids in whatever they do to represent our school sports, one act play, band, UIL etc etc (too many to mention). You need to read the metro papers/ watch the news and see what problems are going on in the "Big City". I do and i will take a brother supporting his sister's basketball team anyday! I have always felt that everyone on the blog can have their own opinions, but when you have to start picking on our kids that is an all time low! Wow I hope that whatever town you live in (and I dont want to know) your kids live up to your dreams.. Because ours are living in the moment and having the time of their lives, and waiting for the next chapter of what I know will be for all of them greatness!
So Here is to Our Bulls & Sissies! Thank you for giving us joy in watching/supporting you during your High School Days and knowing that WE will be so proud of you AFTER High School of you achievements the rest of your lives. Because you know that no matter what your community backs you not for wins/losses but for class and character...And our Kids have that for Sure!

So Proud Bridgeport Mom, are you one of those many Bridgeport Sissies fans that leaves the gym bldg after the girls play? Cause I don't think I see the same support in the bldg for the boys that I do for the boys. Just speaking the truth, who cares if you disagree. But your right, it is the Christian thing to do to pass Judgment on your fellow man or woman for having an opinion at all, can you show me the verse in the bible that states it's okay to attack someone who states their opinion? Lead by example is my motto, your not someone I wanna be like at all. I was not attacking the kids I was saying their passion for the game was not equivilant to the passion they have for supporting the girls basketball team. Def. Hypocrite - somebody feigning high principles: somebody who pretends to have admirable principles, beliefs, or feelings but behaves otherwise. Your right, where I live is none of your business, so find someone else to judge.

Hypocrite--I think you need to re-read my post..I was congradulating ALL our Bridgeport Kids! And no I am not one of those fans that gets up and leaves....I have BOYS! So I watch them ALL!
I dont see where in my post I am quoting the Bible, Attacking You or Asking you to "Be Like Me" ..I do lead by example, I am not judging you--You are the one that was being ugly to our Boys..You are a adult who does have a right to your opinion, just the same as i have a right to mine...BUT I would never never say anything about the kids in our community! You can use the Bible or Definations all you want.. it still comes down to CLASS! And that I know I have as well as our kids!

I agree with 11:21, but it has been that way for years. Parents of the boys go to the gym early to watch the girls before the boys games, but TOOOO many times, the girls and their parents do not stay for the boys games. It would be wonderful if the girls backed and cheered for the boys, as the boys did them. Maybe next year, but it has been "maybe next year for several years". BOYS and GIRLS, I am proud of you and attend all kind of sports.
