Now That's What I Call A Tease

My sources (which infiltrate every precinct in the county and some selected homes) tell me that this weekend The History Channel is at the Aurora Cemetery using radar and good old fashion digging to look for the legendary spaceman's body.

Developing . . .

Edit: Confirmed.

In the "Bad Old Days" a trashy girlfriend I had brought a dude home from the bar she worked at saying,"He's just an old friend who is in a bind. Can he stay here for the night? He was waiting outside so without seeing him I said ok. When the dude came in I was faced with the scariest looking piece of garbage I'd ever seen which was saying a LOT in those days.Long, scraggly hair, sores on his face and arms and he stunk to high heaven. He attempted a smile and laugh somewhere in the conversation. People describe evil folks by saying to the effect,"Even his smile and laughter were without emotion." When he smiled and laughed there was not only no emotion he seemed to lying if that makes sense. He went to the spare bedroom. I tossed and turned for a little while and finally said,"There's got to be some place I can take that guy." The chick got huffy and went and talked to him. She came back and said,"I'm taking him to his families in Boyd" I didn't argue. I knew if I took him he might kill me on the way but I'd have a fighting chance. I was dead certain if I just kicked him out he'd kill me and if I let him stay he might kill me in my sleep anyway. It seemed like he'd be the type to bury a steak knife in your forehead while you slept just because it might look funny. As bad a man as I was in those days I rested a lot easier when a short time after this happened he was arrested because I always was waiting in the back of my mind for Ricky Lee Green to come after me for kicking him out of my house on a rainy night in Decatur.

RLG's last words

I want to thank the Lord for giving me this opportunity to get to know Him. He has shown me a lot and He has changed me in the past two months.

I have been in prison 8½ years and on Death Row for 7, and I have not gotten into any trouble. I feel like I am not a threat to society anymore. I feel like my punishment is over, but my friends are now being punished.

I thank the Lord for all He has done for me.

I do want to tell the…

Fort Worth police Detective Danny LaRue asked Green at the time of his arrest why he killed, his reply was: "They all deserved it. They were kind of the dregs of society." LaRue believes eight other unsolved murders in North Texas bear Green's trademarks.

Interesting reference to Green that comes up with Google.

Most of us never question the legitimacy of the death penalty. Moreover, those that are opposed to it can at least understand how a jury can impose the ultimate sentence on the likes of, say, Timothy McVeigh or Ricky Lee Green.

The death penalty was reinstated by the Supreme Court in 1972 , and with the decision came the expected uproar by the civil libertarians. As time passed, however, the opposition grew both relatively tired and silent. But just like platform shoes of that era have made a comeback, so may the anti-death penalty forces. Their rallying cry will no doubt reference February 3, 1998.

On that date, shortly after 6:00 p.m., the State of Texas intends to put Karla Faye Tucker to death.

You must have seen Ms. Tucker on television by now. I have to admit she doesn't fit the mold of your typical capital murderer. She is articulate, soft spoken, and at least appears to be reasonable human being. Images of Ricky Lee Green do not come to mind.

But, of course, she was sentenced to death for a reason. According to trial testimony, Ms. Tucker and a male companion broke into a Houston apartment on June 13, 1983, to steal motorcycle parts. The apartment was occupied by a man who was subsequently bludgeoned with a hammer by Ms. Tucker's companion followed by Ms. Tucker repeatedly striking the injured man with the ax to stop him from making a gurgling sound. A female occupant of the apartment, whom had been hiding under a blanket, was also killed by Ms. Tucker when her presence was detected.

Ok, maybe Ricky Lee Green does come to mind.

The killing, however, was 15 years ago, and Ms. Tucker claims to have become a born again Christian while in prison. Such a reformation isn't that unusual. A few days ago the Fort Worth Star Telegram ran a story setting forth the last words of all 37 convicts put to death last year. Most made reference to God and their expectation of salvation.

So why the big controversy about the February 3rd execution date? Is it because she is female? Is it because she "doesn't look the part"? Is it simply because she looks and sounds like you and me? Maybe the answer is all of the above.

Whatever the reason, there is a firestorm brewing. Any "cause" in this country needs a poster child. AIDS awareness advocates had Ryan White. Civil Rights proponents had Rodney King. Video in the courtroom opponents point to O.J. Simpson while sexual harassment awareness groups embraced Anita Hill.

Ironically, Karla Faye Tucker may be what the death penalty opponents have been looking for. After years of losing the argument for the abolishment of the death penalty in the court of public opinion , Ms. Tucker may provide an mechanism for a different approach. It is not 12 citizens handing out justice against an animal of a defendant, the group will argue, it is instead the Government putting to death someone to whom the public can relate. For the first time they will have a face that they are not ashamed to be associated with. Video clips from Ms. Tucker's appearance on Larry King Live will no doubt be played over and over again.

Despite their best efforts, I don't believe groups like Amnesty International will be successful in their goal to change the attitude of most Americans on the issue of capital punishment. Nevertheless, by focusing on the execution of Ms. Tucker, they may make us feel at least a bit uneasy.

Good riddance. To bad his "terrorized" wife (who could have physically thrown him through a brick wall) didn't suffer the same fate! The idiotic media bought her "victimized" and "terrorized" spouse story hook, line and sinker. All you had to do was to look at their physical differences to see THAT was total baloney!

I definitely remember the story. I had no idea he was buried in Aurora.

Lethal Injection Consists Of:
Sodium Thiopental (lethal dose - sedates person)
Pancuronium Bromide (muscle relaxant-collapses diaphragm and lungs)
Potassium Chloride (stops heart beat)
The offender is usually pronounced dead approximately 7 minutes after the lethal injection begins.
Cost per execution for drugs used : $86.08

The satisfaction of a vengeful system? Priceless I suppose.
We'll wake up to how backwards we were someday be ashamed and then stop killing people in the name of justice.

There used to be a metal gear of some type on the wall of the museum in Decatur in a plaque that said, Found near ufo crash site in Aurora. Until that is analysed I'll be a true believer no matter what.

Kharla Faye did not use an axe like Lizzy Bordon! It was a pick axe, the kid you dig a hole in the ground with!

Good Ridence to Karla Faye!!!

11:11, no death could have been more humane for Ricky Lee Green. If you know his story, then you must be one of his kind to say our system was cruel to him. He deserved what he got and much more. In fact, a legal lynching would have been too good for that slimebucket! Evil exists, and I'm glad our world is free of one less.

Imposition of the death penalty is arbitrary and capricious. Decision of who will live and who will die for his crime turns less on the nature of the offense and the incorrigibility of the offender and more on inappropriate and indefensible considerations: the political and personal inclinations of prosecutors; the defendant's wealth, race and intellect; the race and economic status of the victim; the quality of the defendant's counsel; and the resources allocated to defense lawyers."

Sorry for the temporary bad sentiment toward you, BG. Even if you didn't know about it until now.

P.S. Sometimes the death penalty is the right thing.

After dealing with this piece of shit personally and knowing all to well the pain he and his piece of shit wife has put my family thru, I did not attend his just day! I could not see where watching his family greive would bring back my family/ nor ease the pain. However Texas let that @itch of his walk, sometimes justice is not done here on earth as it will be done on judgement day. My cousins daughter has had to grow up without her mom, now she is a mother herself, which my cousin never gotten a chance to see her own grandchild. though only one paid the price for the acts of two. Just wonder if that piece of crap wife ever got her daughter back and if she is still hiding in Eastland Tx. May his is soul rott in hell and may she know ever day one day hers will too.

I recently watched the Aurora Encounter movie based upon this supposed incident..........it was so bad that it could easily be made fun of on Mystery Science Theater 3000!

The best part was the scene where the movie showed the Decatur courthouse and implied it was the Texas State Capital building (where Gov. Spanky worked.......yes, Spanky from the Little Rascals).

Jack Elam was good.......but seriously......Two Thumbs WAY DOWN!

Yesterday I spent some time with my daughter drawing chalk pictures on the sidewalk. It was fun. I didn't know she alredy knew how to do hopscotch. Last night the rain came and washed it all away. Maybe that's the way our lives are. You think you've accomplished something good then a rain comes that you didn't even expect and washes it all away. Nobody will even know you were here.

Sharon Dollar Green. Went to Eastland to spend time with her preacher father after flaunting her probation verdict by going to Mattie's and driving off in a limousine. She needed the same sentence as her husband. Don't know where she is now. Bill Green. spent time in prison for drug dealing. I think he's dead. Perry Green. Prison. Timothy Green. Prison. Fine folks. But I hear they were pretty good at fixing boat motors and radiators.

RLG isn't the only famous/infamous resident at Aurora Cemetery: What about former Wise County Sheriff Leroy Burch? He's buried there as well.

I snuck around that cemetery one night with a compass and it pointed to a small mound which I dug up.

Only a few feet down I found a hard case and when I opened it ya know what I found....A BANJO!

Why do they always call criminals by their full (first, middle, last) names? Does that make them sound more evil or something?

Jar I've wondered the same thing. Maybe to help insure they're not confused with someone else? Maybe it's a habit from when all boys were Billy Ray,Bobby Joe,Lee Harvey etc. When they apprehend someone over a heinous murder and especially an assassination and they only have 2 names you nearly wonder if they have the wrong guy.

Aurora Cemetery is the gravestone of the infant Nellie Burris (1891-1893) with its often-quoted epitaph: "As I was so soon done, I don't know why I was begun."

Why did the wife get off scott free? She was as big a part of it as he was, they should have done away with her too or at least kept her in prison for the rest of her life. I shudder to think that she is going around and drinking someone elses blood right now as we speak.

Anonymous said...

As I recall the wife got 10 years probation for her cooperation. She reported him as the killer and testified against him. 8:12 had some updates on her-I was curious myself.
Interestingly,Phil Ryan often gets credit for"bringing these monsters to justice" etc but,I think that may just be his aura speaking and Sharon Dollar just ratted Green out-not sure and couldn't find anything either way on the internets.

Police in Australia have arrested a 69-year-old man who they say attacked his wife, daughter and grandchildren with an ax in a vicious attack.

I'm kind of a bumpkin but, are there other kinds of ax attacks?

They butchered me back there, I was in a lot of pain. They cut me in the groin; they cut me in the leg. I was bleeding profusely. This is not an execution, it is murder.
Executed by injection, Florida
~~ Bennie Demps, d. June 8, 2000
( It took execution technicians 33 minutes to find suitable veins for the execution. The executioners had no unusual problems finding one vein, but because Florida protocol requires a second alternate intravenous drip, they continued to work to insert another needle, finally abandoning the effort after their prolonged failures.)

Anonymous said...

But why do they swab the area where the needle goes in? I mean the guys fixing to die and rot his ever lovin life away in some cold lonely hole in the ground waiting for Satan to suck his soul into the burning lakes of everlasting fire and sulphur so it's not like it's going to get infected or somethin.

Credit is given to Phil Ryan for all he and all law enforcement did! That man made a promise several years prior to catching R Green that he would remain on this til the killer was caught, and I will say Mr. Ryan kept to his word, and helped a family that truely needed support!

That's well and good-honestly but,he didn't catch anybody.

Hi Everbody,

This is ole Ricky Lee Green hollerin at ya from Hell.

Well it was just another scortcher for sure.Today I have been rotating over a volcano with a skewer up my rear and later we're sticking our heads in acid and then sliding down razor blades into a vat of alcohol.

Maybe after that we'll get to pack our butts with high exsplosives and sing songs next to the campfire. For refreshments I think they're serving muratic acid on the rocks.

Ok,I gotta go for the daily fire ant mud facials.

Soon there will be hell to pay. Ricky Lee Green is back and he's got a few days to kill." Muwahahaha!!!

Phil Ryan had nothing to do with bringing Ricky Green to justice. He may have even been the one who would have if Green wasn't handed to him on a platter. Ryan was real good. But,Green was handed to him on a platter. I don't begrudge his reputation but I do prefer to believe facts not have some guys aura get rubbed all over an issue and then years layer when people may be interested in what happened they can't separate fact from fantasy.

But I am certain you who have watched movies/ read books know far more than those of us who lived this nightmare! Dumb @ss AGAIN THANK TO ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT/ D A ALLEN LEVY, DOUG WHITEHEAD AND YES! I am from Boyd and the entire family was crazy, with exception of the mother, Maybe her death should have gotten another look. Ricky may have gave his life to the lord in the end but he should have searching for him way before. And as for Sharon her day will come when she meets her msker.

moonlitfairypowder said...

Sharon Green was forced to assist Ricky in his attempt to keep her from telling anyone what he was doing. He told her that he would kill her if she did not do it, and when she did, he told her that she was now an accomplice and would go down with him. After years of this type of mental torture and having to watch and help kill people, she found the strength to speak up. It is also not widely reported that a strong factor in the decision to sentence her to the 10 year probation period was to make sure that she was able to receive psycholigical counseling for the trauma that she had witnessed. What Ricky Lee Green did was horrible. He was an evil person. He was ALWAYS an evil person. There is no denying that fact. He stole so many lives from people and left their families to live in fear and pain. I grieve for these families as they have to think of this every day for the rest of their lives, and I am thankful that they were not forced to witness the act while it was being done, as Sharon was made to do. She also lives with this, and she does not flaunt her freedom. She rejoiced in the closing of a gut wrenching terrifying chapter of her life. She wasn't just freed from jail, she was freed from Ricky Lee Green. Wishing that she were dead would not change anything, and if she had never met this man, all of the people he killed would still be gone, or other people...or MORE people! I think that she deserves alot of compassion with the families of the deceased, whom deserve it. And she deserves to be held up as an accomplice, not only in murder, but in bringing a murderer to justice, just as all of the law enforcement officials deserve gratitude for their own parts.

I am from Boyd and most of my family is buried in Aurora cemetery. They were all good, God fearing people. When I saw Ricky Lee Greens headstone in our cemetery I wanted to kick it over. I would but I am also a God fearing person. He should be dug up and put in the dump! He deserves nothing better. I am also very good friends with the woman that Tim Green TRIED to kill. That whole family was a bunch of nuts with the exception of their poor mother. That dumb bitch that Ricky was married to deserves the same end that her husband got! She was nothing but a lying heifer! I will gladly do what Wise County failed to do!

Bennie Demps, poor baby, I wonder what kind of terror and pain that poor couple from CT felt when he locked them in a car trunk with their real estate agent and shot them to death or the inmate he stabbed to death after being jailed for life for murdering two innocent people.
