Just so you know, the
Messenger's print edition
had a picture this morning of the Chicken Express "Great Hillary Controversy" sign, and I just heard the
Bridgeport Index had a similar photo on the front page.
That's why I've got a couple of Pulitzers next to my "2nd Place - Optimist Club - Bridgeport Little League" trophy on my mantle and they don't.

The only reason you don't have awards, is because you don't belong to some bulls**t newspaper organizations, that meet every so often and pat each other on the back in self-congratulatory ways, and give out bulls**t awards like "Best Small-Town Non-Daily Newspaper In Towns That Start With 'D' And In Counties That Start With 'W'". Ever notice that those awards NEVER include ACCURACY as a requirement? Shows where "journalism" as fallen, nowadays.
Yeah, but ...
BG you need to come clean about the whole baseball trophy deal. The trophy was for the "13 & Under" age bracket. Admittedly, you did dominate the pitching that season.
However, owing to your diminutive height, your lack of facial hair, and your mad skills with whiteout and the laser copier, you WERE the only 24 year old in the league.
Presumably, this was the pinnacle of your baseball career (at least for the "Pre-Bartles & James" era).
Bridgeport Index editor J. D. Clark in his "Soap Box" has made some points about the Chicken Express sign. Interestingly, they don't match the "some find it humorous" caption under the sign on the front page of the Index.
Get a copy and read it for yourself.
And they took it down early this morning. Not there anymore so everyone can feel at ease now!!!!
99 percent of everything on this blog is reprinted from another media source.
ya better stick to that little league trophy BG cuz ya dont have a lot of scoopin going on here, but you are kinda/sorta funny
gold
the first anon to comment must have the last name of clark or bridwell, both of whom lack journalistic skills anyway and are in the wrong business. perhaps that's why they have no one patting their back because the product isn't good enough to line the bottom of my cat box - and neither of them can write (i should know, i can't either and i know one when i see one)
Ah, the Index and Messenger, the only two papers where you can get yesterday's news next Wednesday!!! I guess that is why we have the Update, where you can get yesterday's news tomorrow!
Barry, you are just a regurgitator of the news and not THE NEWS.
Here's an example of THE NEWS
Dallas (UPI) Barry Green, part time criminal defense attorney, full time blog moderator was recently seen leaving local Dallas Gay night spot The Cock Pit.
Green, driving a late model vehicle with "Honk if you love Britney" in the back windshield was last seen entering the drive through window at a Chicken Express but was refused service after multiple attempts to order the "Hillary" special.
Well now, 11:13, which paper do you work for?
I still think the interview with the "jobless/homeless tie guy" has great potential for an award.
10:27 AM, this 8:46 AM. This will shock you, but I'm not a "journalist" in competition. Just a citizen in Wise County that notices the obvious about the blatant lack of journalistic skills our present-day "journalists" should have. Basic skills like being ACCURATE and recognizing NEWSWORTHY stories. And as can be seen in constant comments to this blog, I ain't the only one!
Does the S in BSG stand for "Scoop"?
It could you know.
The kid with the chicken leg in the Messenger photo is really a cute little guy......
....and come on, we need to all lighten up and laugh at another humorous photo.
.that was one fat chicken leg!
They should have put the price of the "Hillary Special" on the sign so people that wanted one would know up front the cost, and whether it came with a drink and what sides. I guess that Chicken Express Bunch is real Hillary supporters, dedicating a sign and all to her campaign. Hopefully, a lot of United States Voters will go for the "Hillary Special" in November. Ha Ha! Go Hillary!
