I found out about Katrina while at lunch one day. The tv was on but the volume was down. I looked at the screen and thought,"A natural disaster in Africa,is this really news?" I guessed it was probably either Liberia or maybe Uganda based on the western-ish look of the background and dress of the people they were showing. New Orleans and the surrounding areas were a terrible embarassment BEFORE those folks ever felt abandoned in the wake of Katrina.
I think that means that they are supporting the kid that had the tar beaten outta him by the "Jena 6". He's kind of been forgotten in the whole deal.
It may refer to one of the Jena 6 that was arrested in Carrollton.
Of course, it is probably a racist piece of trash. I'm betting the "Jena 1" is a noose.
Alot of people have gone to see the devastation in New Orleans. While we were there we got off the main route and what we saw was shocking,people living under the awning of an abandoned gas station,broken glass,upside down burned cars,screams,gunshots,shell casings and needles/crack vials were everywhere. Actuallly this was 5 years before Katrina so you can imagine what it must have been like after a hurricane.
It seemed everyone weighed about 2x normal,the woman all wore terry cloth tube tops and no bras and had giant breasts. All the males it seemed were staggering around with a bottle in a sack. Everybody smelled like menthol cigarettes,beer,urine and weed. I saw a child in a diaper that looked like it could explode playing with a 40oz. beer bottle like it was a car. I got lost 2 different times in there and had to stop to ask directions. Once a group of 3-4 older guys got around my truck when I stopped. They didn't make whole lot of sense but we talked like pretty much regular people(they liked my "fancy" truck) until my son got closer to the window and said,"Dad,he's peeing." I looked over and he had his big ole thing out just urinating on the concrete he was standing on like it was the most natural thing in the world for a person to do.
When we had first stopped at the visitors center the cashier didn't mince any words-she hilighted the area we actually found ourselves in and said,"You don't have any business down in there." Road construction diverted us though. We travelled for miles it seemed always being able to see the interstate overhead but not being able to access it.
So I googled Jena 1 and it is suport for the boy who got beat up. Didnt know that they tossed out all the convictions of the Jena 6. The last one because he should have been in Juvenile court.

As a favor to Wise County and the majority of the population here, I would ask that you please refrain from posting these kinds of things that are only set to divide our community. This is not what most of the peeps think around here, at least anymore. The bumper sticker could not( for sure, 100%) belong to a Wise County Resident and your post assumes that it does. Even your posters, the most vial arrogant and egomaniacal, are not from Wise County. They belong to Denton, Lubbock, Grandbury, Ect, ect, ect. Most of those who argue the stand of the intruders are Wise County Residents and don't beleive in what they say.
For the Record, The Majority of Wise County People are not racist that women. Only a few idiots that pst here are or the assholes that think they run the place because they own a few Fast food joints in Decatur and Bridgeport.

If some of you people would have learned the true nature of the Jena deal instead of lapping up whatever the media put out you would know there was NO white tree that students sat under. This is a bumper sticker in support of party girl Jenna Bush, but the redneck bumper-sticker-maker did not know how to spell "Jenna" and spelled it "Jena" because there were too many "n's" to have to deal with and Republicans can't deal with that kind of pressure unless it is going to war with someone and then there is no pressure at all and could have up to 7 "N's" if need be. They think one "N" in a name is enough for anybody. They are happy that "George Walker "W A"W"OL" Bush" does not have any pesky "n's" showing up.
I'm not sure why such a large segment of the population is so vitriolic in its hatred for anything politically correct. Isn't the attempt to use politically correct speech just an attempt to take into consideration the thoughts and views of those people that may be listening and attempting not to be offensive to them? Why again is that wrong?
Don't we all practice this? Don't you want your children to practice this? Isn't this just learning proper behavior in various settings. If you're in Church, you don't want to be throwing around the f-bomb. If you're at work, you don't want to be offensive to your bosses.
I guess there are people that don't believe they should ever regulate their speech. They believe that it's ok to say whatever they want, whenever they want. I suppose they'll teach their children that as well. But, they should understand that offensive speech in the workplace may get them fired or prevent them from advancement.
The "n" word may be used by some of you in your daily life. But, you should know that it is patently offensive to many and its public use tells the rest of us more about you than you should want to share. If you regularly use it, I may allow you to finish the job you're working on, but I will not hire you again.

Barry - Don't know if you saw the news spot but they recently announced a contest where people were to create a new slogan for the U.S. which would replace "in God we trust" or "Don't tread on me'. The key was that it would be limited to 6 words. There were many political and patriotic entries but the winner was ........... OUR GREATEST CRITICS CHOOSE TO STAY.
The comments of this post reminded me of that slogan. I'll bet your readers could come up with their own great entries to the contest.
I guess it all boils down to how you were raised. I personally was raised to believe that the n word was just as bad as the f word. People who grow up hearing that word in every day life are not as offended as those who were taught not to say it.
Allowing the N word is not some admirable support of free speech. Barry doesn't allow criticism of the girls he dates or marries, nor those colleagues that he invariably posts about. In allowing the "approval" of a comment containing the N word, he is "approving" the use of it. Plain and simple. He censors whenever the hell it suits him. He likes getting the monkeys arguing.

As long as I have read this blog, Barry has always openly allowed blog race riots. I don't know why anyone is surprised.
