Ask any of these anti-war protestors to find Iraq on a blank map and they can't. Ask any of them to say who were are fighting and they can't. Or why we are there. They have no clue. Ask them how many new radical "kill the infidel Americans" Muslims would be recruited to the radical Muslim cause if the U.S. ran tail tucked. Ask them to give one salient point about the geopolitical situation over there, and they can't. They are sheep, and they listen to media and body counts. Most of them believe if we just "negotiate with " or "hug" the nice Muslims that all could be resolved. These protestors are insulated Americans, who think about everything in reference to their upbringing in this society, and have no earthly idea how many millions of people in that part of the world would cut out their own hearts right now if it meant killing an American.

9:11 - You've been listening to too much neo-con propaganda. Please recall, there were no Iraqis involved in the 9/11 attack. The Afgan attack was, in my opinion, justified. The Iraq war (the one being protested) was not. Please also recall that we are supposedly trying to bring peace and democracy to Muslim Iraq. Will that make them all love Americans? What is it, Muslims all hate Americans or not? Using your distorted logic, the only answer is to eliminate all 1.5 Billion Muslims. Is that correct? If so, why are we busy trying to "save" their country? Get real.

"You cowardly sob"

Where is the basis for that comment. 9:11 was made some good points. I'n not saying it's all true, but a few good points. Who are you and where are you from that you fell you can trash Wise county. You are entitled to you opinion, but remember your comments make you sound uneducated, hateful, and ignorant. Well then, according to your own opinion, YOU must be from Wise county. Please stop trashing Wise county.

Honestly, I agree with a lot of what 9:11 said, but it was spoken from a conservative point of view, so it's going to get trashed on this blog. And while 9:11 was a bit harsh, the responses were very typical liberal-speak: Whoever disagrees with you is not worth living and deserves to be called every name in the book.
Why can't liberals even be social and present an opposing view without hatred? That's like when people do violence and disrupt conservative gatherings, interrupt speakers (Ann Coulter, for example) and try to shout them down? You NEVER hear of that happening to a liberal speaker. That's because most liberals - as proven daily on this blog - are rude and hateful when someone dares have an opposing point of view. Conservatives don't do that. Am I wrong?

mw, 11:06: "Am I wrong?"

In a word, yes.

I've never wanted to "hug" a terrorist. However, I don't think that laying waste to a sovereign nation (which, yeah, I can in fact find on a map) that neither harbored nor produced any of the 9/11 actors and was no threat to the United States AT ALL is the way to go about neutralizing the threat. We're wasting American and Iraqi lives for no good reason, we're bankrupting ourselves for generations, we're engendering hate toward ourselves for centuries, we're creating more terrorists than ever would have sprung up naturally, absent this immoral, illegal and completely failed war -- so yeah, I guess you could say I'm pretty solidly against it.
