First, John "I'm the Right Wing Candidate" McCain thinks we should send many more troops to Iraq, and now, aboard the "Straight Talk Express", he doesn't know whether condoms help prevent the transmission of STDs.
The GOP better pray Fred Thompson joins the race, because things are looking dim.

Actually I would consider Fred Thompson. Seemed to be the only politician that didn't succumb to the hype of the Clinton - Lewinski thing.

A feeble concession to political pandering. Regardless of your view of the facts, this man doesn't know his own position on a very basic issue. The fact that condoms reduce the spread of AIDS is clear. Whether our government should finance their distribution in Africa is a policy item. But McCain doesn’t know where he stands on either item. This guy is considered a primary candidate for president? Want some “straight talk”? I think it’s just pathetic.
