So many people "hate" Wal Mart. Huge protests in some places. Cities pass laws to keep Wal Mart out. "Hurts small business, hurts main street" is the war cry. Yet, when Wal Mart does go into a town, seems like everyone forgets their high and mighty principles. And their commitment to local storeowners (where they were not shopping anyway). In the end, Wal Mart will not open stores or keep stores open that do not have customers. But all these anti-Wal Mart towns don't seem to understand the best way to keep Wal Mart out is just not to shop there. But they do. Wal Mart haters are the second most hypocritical group in our country, behind Christians.
Maybe the "local small businesses" need to and come down to level earth and quit marking everything up outrageously so they can be competitive with Wal-Mart's pricing.
It is very common to go into a so-called local shop and find something that they have the gall to charge anywhere from $15.00 to $25.00 for and find the same thing at the DOllar store for $1.00.
Same thing goes for Lumber yards and flooring stores verses Lowes.
Well, considering the employees of Wal Mart who cannot afford health care thru Wal Mart get on State sponsored welfare health programs makes you wonder if the 3 bucks you saved in the store on great Value Fish Sticks and your Made in China Huffy bicycle wont come back to bite you in the rear via the extra 50 bucks you will pay on your taxes to subsidize these employees care.
On average, do you honestly think that most employees of any company can afford the provided healthcare premiums that are charged? I mean really afford them.
How about $600.00 per month for 2 people, no kids at a well known large company. And you want to complain about Wal-Mart employees? Puleeeeez
Why don't you check the original maker of those off brand fish sticks and bicycles at your local small business just for kicks. Bet you'll be surprized.
And, do you think that Wal-Mart employees are the only people who go on state insurance? Hah!

The one that frustrates me the most wasn't a part of the poll...THERE ARE NEVER ENOUGH CHECKERS!
Yeah, the "cashiers" in the poll should have been changed to "the number of cashiers", then the poll would have changed dramatically!
How about the shopping carts all over the parking area!
People should not shop at Wal Mart. Unionize Wally World ASAP.
I hope that I never get so bored, or so old that all I do is sit on the bench by the front doors of Wally World and people watch!
Now that I think of it, that is what the punishment should be for drug offenders instead of jail time!
