OK on gaming, you could create one giant Texas Vegas and allow all cities and counties in Texas to get a share of the tax proceeds captured at the Casinos and hotels, restaurants, shops in a designated zone in proportion to their population, with a little extra given to the city that actually has to pay for the infrastructure to support it. This way there's less fighting about where the casino district is, and thus all the fighting for it in the legislature. Pick some remote area in between the major metros. And also share back the revenues based upon where the Texas gamblers live, so the communities have some money coming to them to deal with the alcoholism, foreclosures, divorces, unemployment, etc. OK on Marijuana, as long as each smoker is certified, meaning they have health insurance that covers the maladies, including psychological. And friends and family members would need to sign off on it, plus a Mary Jane breath detector in all vehicles owned by a pothead, so that nobody has to be killed...oh and the pothead has to have a minimum amount of money in the bank to cover loss of employment, mortgage, bills, etc. because I don't want to have to pay for the social results of he and all the others that will light up. OK on uniforms, too.
3:17, Why aren't you for the same rules for people that drink alcohol that smoke pot? Have you seen the statistics for alcohol related accidents compared with people under the influence of pot?
I really don't care about casino gambling. The idiots will do it, I won't. Marijuana is a personal choice so; again, I don't care - especially if it is taxed by the state. Uniforms would seem to reduce the clothing problems of many school aged kids and their parents. Guess I agree with Barry on this one.

Legalized Marijuana has been proven in Europe to reduce drug-related crimes, and will eliminate a large portion of our prison population. Gambling only hurts folks without enough will power to not do it. Uniforms look good on the 18 year old girls, and eliminate the whole fashion show thing that high schools have become.

The question isn't one of government "help". The question is, should marijuana use be considered a crime?
And about half a dozen Presidential Commissions on drug use over the past half century have recommended "NO" as the answer.
