One of quotes I've seen a couple of times today about Tony Romo's bungled field goal hold was: "Bless his heart, he's got to be the sickest man in America." Old timers will remember that line was uttered by Dallas play-by-play man Verne Lundquist when Jackie Smith dropped a potential touchdown pass in Super Bowl XIII.

That drop was the end of Smith. Do you think Romo's "kain't do no rong" aura will evaporate?
It was heart breaking! I felt so sorry for him. He is such a great guy and had the class to be interviewed afterward and apologize to everyone. He was doing great until that moment. He needs a chance to redeem himself.
Happens to a lot of good players...remember Leon Lett and Thanksgiving Day of 1993? Even though the Cowboys went on to win the Superbowl that year, no one ever forgot that play...and no one will ever forget this one...but I believe Tony Romo will be one of the greats :)
