I'm Glad This Wasn't Done For Publicity

President Bush jogs with Army Staff Sgt. Christian Bagge, 23, from Eugene, Ore., who lost both legs to a roadside bomb in Iraq, on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington Tuesday, June 27, 2006. (AP Photo/Gerald Herbert)

I heard the comments after their short jog. Bush was gasping for breath and couldn't remember where he had the memorable encounter with the Sgt before. Pure photo op junk. The Sgt is trying to get back into the Army - Bush is still trying to avoid real service and is willing to have countless more sincere soldiers crippled in his stupid, unnecessary war.

Well said, 10:03. How many more lives and limbs have to be lost in this war we got into without a plan on how to finish it?

Bush needs to jog over to the Pentagon to fire Runsfield! Then find someone with a plan to get us out of this big mess.

Call John Kerry, he was in veitnam you know, he can do it along with Hitlary, and Al Freinkferter. They have the answer's, why dont yall go to it seem's yall have all the answers to, take control of the situation and be the pres. Could anything be a more obvious publicity ploy?

9:14 Well, at least John Kerry went to Vietnam while Bush was AWOL from the National Guard.

If I remember correctly, the war was going to drop the cost of gasoline and Iraqi oil production was going to pay for the war.

And if I remember correctly our soldiers were going to be greeting as liberators not occupiers.

And if I remember correctly, our soldiers were going to find weapons of mass destruction that Saddam was going to kill us with...

And if I remember correctly, the plan was that once Saddam was out of the way, the war would be over!

Well, that plan has not worked. Why? Because it was a stupid plan to start with hatched up to take over Iraqi oil or keep it off the market so big oil companies could raise the price of oil to nearly $70.00 a barrel.

And we know who likes Big Oil and Haliburton in the White House?

Perhaps it is time to let those who are not joined at the hip with Haliburton and big oil, take on the problems created by Bush and company.

2:17, I could not have said it better myself. One thing to remember about the big oil companies...

We have MANY MANY MANY Wise County oil and gas companies and related businesses who are loving every minute of this. It's a tragedy for the rest of us.

Just take a look at Bridgeport and all of the surrounding area. The boom is definitely back. This time there is a bigger price - in more ways than one.

Horrible about the young man losing his legs in the stupid war, but come on - some folks will be exploited big time to have a photo made with a big politician.

And good points 2:23! Have you seen the HUGE Devon building out on 380 near Bridgeport?

Pretty soon, we'll see all kinds of gas guzzling autos parked out in front and when they leave for home, it'll be a nightmare on 380 for the rest of us.

3:40 - Ah 'c’mon! Are you really expecting traffic jams in B'port anytime soon? Add a couple hundred cars and no one would notice. Try LBJ during rush hour - that's traffic. Wise Co is so far in the sticks it'll be a decade before anything like real traffic occurs here.

4:19 - what planet are you from??? I commute to DFW every single day. I fear for my life until I get out of Wise County. Wise County is 1000 times worse than LBJ any day of the week and DURING rush hour!!! Oil field trucks are constantly pulling out onto the highways, rock trucks are spilling their loads and I have to dodge the rocks, people are driving like they think it's still 1975 - morons!!! Dallas/Fort Worth drivers drive faster, but smarter. Wise County has more dumb asses than any place. Traffic sucks here!!!!

2:23 Only little oil in Wise County...BIG OIL is ExonMobile and Middle East oil...

Little oil is good!
