Sleepy Thought

An Update item: "VOICE FOR CHOICE — Bridgeport residents will have a chance to sign the alcohol petition tomorrow and Friday at Bridgeport City Park from 6 to 8 p.m. The petition drive is being held to seek an election which would determine if alcoholic beverages should be sold in the city. For more information, call (940) 393-6392." Isn't that more like an ad than a news item?

"Sleepy Thought"; I don't think so.

Something comes to mind, the more businesses who sell beer, the harder it is to monitor the bad businesses who sell beer to minors!

I'm still waiting for a Brookshires in Bridgeport so I won't have to go to Bowie or Springtown to buy groceries!

And if Bridgeport is interested in increasing sales tax revenues (the reason for selling beer/wine) why not a great grocery store to bring shoppers back to Bridgeport?

A "wake up" thought!

Yes 9:27 - and some church pulpits in Bridgeport will schedule "wake up" calls to any pew sitters contemplating a "yes" vote for the sale of alcoholic beverages.

More "breaking news" for the Messenger staff!!

:-)

What will the church accomplish from doing that?

1:13 Tell the members how to vote and keep beer/wine out of Bridgeport. You know, politics in the pulpit as usual.

That is crazy, everyone has the right to believe in what they believe in and not be "TOLD" what to do, how to vote, etc....

Good grocery stores won't come here unless they can sell beer and/or wine.
