Edit at 10:51 am: Bomb threat confirmed. School evacuated.
From the school: "This morning, the high school received a bomb threat. Although we feel that this is a hoax, we have taken the precaution of clearing the building and taking the students to the practice field while the fire department sweeps the building. As soon as we receive the 'all clear,' we will return to the building. Any students checked out will be counted absent. While we wait, students are escorted to Carson Elementary for restroom breaks. Students who are STAAR testing have been moved to Carson to finish their exams. As soon as the "
'all clear' is issued, we will post it on the website."

This happened at Bport high back in the early 70's. A guy had a test at school that he didn't want to take so he decided calling in a bomb threat to shutdown the school was the smart way to get around the test.
The first thing the cops did was check on the students that were not at school. Being a small school resulted in a short list. I think he was under arrest before dark.

What idiot does that on a Tuesday? If it was done of Friday, you get a 3 day weekend! Someone needs to go back to Class Clown 101.
I know the police always find the culprit that made the call, but I never have heard what happens after that. Maybe if a proper punishment was publicized for all to see, then these stupid calls would stop.
Anyone know what punishment the caller receives when caught?

It was probably someone from the school. That STAAR test is one mean booger! This way they have an "out" when today's scores comeback and they are, shall we say, less than desirable.
It is all about character!
This is the same school that gets all those unsportsmanlike penalties in football!

it wasnt a call, it was a note in the bathroom. same as last year.
That place is an out of control mess!
