I count at least eight errors or departures from generally accepted AP-style writing.

I'll tell you what they are really good at though....handing out speeding tickets.

This kind of thing is maddening. Not only because there is no excuse for having an illiterate court employee (much less allowing an illiterate court employee to communicate in writing with the public), but also because these folks at the court appear to be gaining some small amount of convenience for themselves while placing a large amount of inconvenience on any number of lawyers, litigants, criminal defendants, and ordinary citizens. Why? Because they can. This is a great example of how small people with a small amount of power become petty little tyrants.

Not to mention the fact that, uh, hello people, this is freaking 2012 - yes, faxes are outdated and stupid, but you absolutely have to find some way to accept remote filing of court documents. Ever hear of email attachments? FTP sites, perhaps? Of course, that would require that someone there actually care about doing their job well and having a semi-modern, semi-efficient court system.

After reading this blog a few years, I wonder how many of those you would've even noticed if it weren't brought to your attention.

I observed the following:
--Two superfluous apostrophes.
--One catostrophic misspelling.
--Lack of a colon before the list.
--No bullet points on the list.
--First sentence is incomplete, requiring a "for:" or "regarding:".

The Northlake Municipal Court Clerk should probably resolve never to send another written communication again.

Maybe she could take out the trash and vacuum, or something.

So, you writing memos for Northlake now, barrister?

The dumbing down of America marches on. Just liek the liberual weenies want it.

If Obama had a son he would
spell just like that.

Reminds me of assembly instructions from China.

Don't understand the liberal comment at 5:21. The Rs were responsible for cutting the edu funds.

Wait til you see one from Rhome. Northlake is the Rhome of 1-35 when it comes to traffic tickets to fund a shitty town.

That certainly gives me confidence in our courts.

Wasn't the liberal weenies that elected the conservative Republican school boards, the conservative Republican Texas State Board of Education, the Texas congress or the idiot Governor.

So who's responsable?

Hint: The dolt in the voting booth!

And who might that be? Got a mirror handy?

8:01,Check your facts. Bush passed the largest education bill ever that he let Teddy Kennedy write. Why do colleges have to offer remedial classes to incoming freshmen? Because the idiots that come out of high school that go to college can't even tell you who the vice president is.

8:01, So you think lack of funding instead of the curriculum that they teach is the problem? It must really smell bad where you have your head stuck.

you tell em 4:17

11:32 it's "responsible" dolt.

I have to agree 100% with Anonymous @4:13.

But you know what? I bet the real reason for this new policy is that the clerk who was too stupid to type an intelligent memo was also too stupid to organize faxes (or "fax's," as the case may be).

So some lawyers faxed in some Motions for Continuance or whatever, they got misfiled or lost, the attorney could prove that he had sent the fax and that it was received, and the MuniJudge got embarassed.
