It's good to hear the crowd cheering the cop for a change. That is absolutely disrespectful no matter what the size difference. In the old days that kid would have never gone to jail, he would have gotten beat down and hopefully learned his lesson. Now he will have a permanent mark on his record.
I went through a bunch of the comments and they were overwhelmingly pro-cop (and not a single reference to Bruce Lee fail...hmmm!) It seems apparent that the kid was gonna end up on the ground at some point that day. He picked his own poison

That kids asian friends will shoot up the cops house and overcharge him at the local chopsticks joint. Permanent record or not, the MSG that his family will serve that fatass in the chinese food will kill his fat ass deader than fried chicken!
But the point is still this--the kid asked for it, and got what he asked for, so no prob. Just like the phrase "dumb dog" = "dog dog", the phrase "stupid drunk" = "drunk drunk" (or "stupid stupid").
WHY? Because being a firefighter isn't a job it's a way of life. I live in the fire house a third of the year. I don't get to leave on a whim. If my wife calls and says junior is sick I don't get to run home and help take care of him. Every run has potential risks and everyday I have to mentally prepare for them. Also because I am proud of what I do, maybe you aren't, I don't know. But I know I have made a difference in people's lives. As for the firefighter who died at the baseball game I have no comment. Where I live we have many Firefighters who have given their lives so others may live. That's why we have memorials to them and that's why I'm proud to be one of their brothers. Show me an accountant who died trying to add up that last column and I'll gladly help build a memorial with a bronzed pen and ledger set for him.
I am an accountant and I don't appreciate the disrespect. I may loose my house to a fire, but you sir will loose yours to the IRS if I don't properly prepare your taxes. I have just as much pride in my work as you do. so the next time you have an audit, call a Firefighter.
