This is a great reason why we should not use oil for energy. It's bad for the environment. Do you know how many animals will ne killed because of this oil spill? The water is now contaminated and everyone in wise county now had cancer. Thanks BP.

Gas prices now soaring above $4.00 a gallon in Chico as fear of oil shortage looms.

12:25, so stop using it, then. Oil companies will stop drilling and storing oil when we all stop demanding it. Not BP's fault that we're such pigs for oil and gasoline that they have to put giant storage tanks in our area just to feed our insatiable appetite for the stuff. Being mad at BP or any other oil company is like being mad at the person behind the counter at McDonald's because they keep giving you cheeseburgers when you order them.

FYI: not one drop of oil left the predetermined containment area. Not one gallon of water was contaminated. The parks and wildlife representative left by mid afternoon because he could see no wildlife was in danger. Maybe get a few more facts before you declare an environmental disaster.

It's all a lie; Chico is still as scenic as ever. Come tour our wonderful views rock piles. You might even catch a view of the local Chupacabra, he is best found with a Geiger counter as he has been drinking from our radioactive city well.

Anon 6:28 pm, you should have signed your name because there's no reason to hide when you subscribe to a rational position. The people who protest outside XOM and HAL shareholders meetings always drive me insane because I'm pretty sure they burned fossil fuels to get there. It's hard to claim the moral high ground when you wallow with the rest of us hydrocarbon whores.

12:38 your comment reflects how ignorant you and your family must be. Yep ... You be from Wise County.

4:08, I'm sorry. Let me edit my comment. It's all Bush's fault. Feel better now?
