The oil and gas industry (no doubt sources of good jobs and money for economy) are running roughshod over us. The water in our area is ruined. Compressor noise pollutes our environment. (we were here first by 50 yrs) The trucks ruin our roads, cover the area with dust.
And there is no place to turn to. The Railroad Commission is a joke! Foxes in charge of the henhouse.
Why is the water well problem coming from fracing the gas well nearby and not the injection well near by? If there are any old oil wells not plugged properly, there is a chance an injection well could contaminate the water well. But the Messenger did not explore that possiblity. The Messenger is getting very popular on left wing blog spots; even Daily Kos!
How do water wells that draw from a depth of a few hundred feet get contaminated by fracking or injections wells that are multiple thousand feet deep? Just wonderin'.
Hey Just wonderin", everything they do goes through our water table. Just because they set pipe to "protect" the water tablew does not mean that the pipe can't fail. Why don't you try to live without water in your house? Obviously your are oil field trash.

Your water well only turns bad when you Don't get any of the big money from the gas wells or so I been told.

5:18 You obviously didn't read the article. It explains it well in there.
5:18pm hit the nail on the head.
Your well is 200 feet deep at best.
The Frac zone? well past 5000.
Its just landowners who don't understand mineral rights trying to win the lottery.
