Then some of you attack Obama supporters as just being stupid, instead realizing that others just having different political beliefs than you do.
I dare say that many of us are as happy to have Obama as the president as some of you were to have Bush as the president.
9:50, Obama didn't ruin the economy, it was already in the worst shape it's been in since the Great Depression in September of 2008 - before Obama took office. The question then was - Is it going to be as bad as the Great Depression? The Bush Administration's crisis mode economic policies (that were totally opposite of their previous economic policies) that fall and the Obama Stimulus plan prevented that. We are in the midst of an Economic Recovery, a slow one to be sure that is not producing jobs as fast as we want it, but a Recovery nervertheless.
We dodged an economic bullet to the heart of our country. The recovery is slow, but a slow recovery is much better than what many were predicting 2 years ago.
In 2 years when Obama runs for re-election, we will be even further down that path of recovery.
I bet some of you hate Obama so much that you prefer the economy be worse then so that he won't be elected.
If that's true, you need to seriously re-think your priorities. Are you being against the whole country because you are against the President?
Out of all those self-important little gits, who are wrapped up in being a "part of history" with their cameras out capturing the moment for Twitter/Facebook, I have tremendous admiration for the guy in the black tee-shirt, with the message Not For Sale, because he appears to be the only person, in the audience, who knows the REAL purpose of Obama's visit to UT. There are very few things more annoying than a college kid who thinks they have all the answers for no other reason than they believe the BS "you are the future."
The UT students are just as out of touch as is Obama. College tuition and fees have sky rocketed, the job market has tanked and the budget deficit has gone from $700 billion, under Bush, to $1.75 TRILLION all under Obama but those mushy UT minds are doing their best to "Keep Austin Weird" and are cheering on the worst POTUS in the history of the US.

Have you driven around the county lately? The new hospitals..oh right, all those doctors and nurses are local. Look at how many new school campuses there are now. Have you driven through any of the new subdivisions? Open you eyes and look around! People want to raise their children in a safer environment so they move here, easy commute, good schools, ect.
