Well, this is great news to many Wise Countians I would think, since so many Wise Countians profess a dislike for all things big city, big business, corporate America. Now you won't have to be bothered by receiving dollars from people and businesses you would prefer stay away from all your pastoral beauty and charm. If you like, we can continue to strive to eliminate all dollars that flow into Wise County from evil places, and Wise County can exist on its own merit and its own mighty economic engines, whatever those might be.
Not necessarily an economic hit. There is a rehab facility in Kerrville similar to what they are planning. Do you know the average cost of a 30 day stay?
DAGO; The company I worked for sent people to the same kind of place in Denton. What a ripoff. They got that much for outpatient group meetings.I may be old fashioned but chained to a tree in deep woods with ones favorite dope and a bucket of water for a week would help more of them.It would cut down on the border trouble also.No buyers no sellers.
Never could understand how these "corporate retreats" could stay in business here. Wise County... Cancun Wise County... Fort Lauderdale Wise County... Aspen
Dear 6:05 pm That can work both ways if you like. We can stop all our precious rock and gas shipments to the rest of the world. To most people in the Metroplex, Wise County is just a place to stop for gas or a bite on the way to Wichita Falls or Oklahoma, or wherever the hell you folks need to get to. They (and their governing bodies) rarely give us any thought at all until they see the Wise Redi-Mix truck when they want a slab poured . I grew up in the Metroplex and made an informed decision to make this place my home. I don't have a dislike for ALL "things big city, big business, corporate America", just the bad things. Isn't that what you dislike - bad things? You can keep the traffic, crime, crowding, and enough regulations to strangle a large goat. I think most of us are content here with the pastoral beauty and charm.
Well, now. I've discovered the comments not showing up problem. I just submitted a comment. It seem to go just fine, but when I scrolled back down after submitting...I saw my comment was still in the "leave comment box!" This website isn't picking up the first CLICK to submit comments. (don't know whose fault that is), but if you comment... be sure to check and see that your comment actually "disappeared" .... bet you have to clik it twice!! Barry...is this your fault or the fault of the website/server???

Yes, in Wise County, the people hate the government which prints the money they so much.
Wow 6:05 pm is on a rant! Sounds like the new place will be a great opportunity for more jobs in Wise County.
All righty then, sounds good to me.
Looks like somebody couldn't stand the corporate shills anymore. Recovering addicts are more palatable than CEOs!

About $30,000
The people in Wise County that could benefit from a place like that can't afford it...
Are drugs or alcohol involved?

This place was so difficult to find, I don't see how any addicts will ever make it there?
