- There was a racial slur painted on a road sign in Cedar Hill yesterday. Fox 4 News digitized the word out. Channel 5 did not.
- Thank goodness we don't have to hear about American Idol any more. I can't tell you how disinterested I've been in that show from the start.
- "Would of" and "would have" are easily confusing. At least to me.
- Did you see the picture of the alligator swimming around in Lake Worth? It's huge.
- There was a guilty verdict yesterday in the woman-kicks-man-in-crotch case yesterday in the Wise County Court at Law.
- Watched a Wise County DWI video the other day which was the closest thing I've seen to evidence of a possible quota system for such arrests. One cop radioed another and asked him if he "needed" another DWI case.
- One time big time hip hop artist 50 Cent slimmed down for a movie role. And by "slim down" I mean he looks like death.
- Of all the big bucks in play with the Rangers bankruptcy, there are some little people who are going to take a hit. One of the creditors, for example, listed on the court filings is a $10,000 bill for a fireworks company. And that makes you, Tom Hicks, sorry.
- Phil Steele, the smartest college football guru you've never heard of, has Oklahoma #1 in his preseason rankings and TCU #4.
- Fort Worth cops shot someone last night and it didn't make any of the early morning newscasts around here. That's weird.
- If you know someone who routinely drives by Preskitt and FM 51 at around 6:30, here's a picture of a car that was in a wreck at that location this morning. Edit: Messenger tells me it was Decatur volleyball coach Claire Rose (who is OK.)

Shows how sneaky Tom Hicks is. There was an article in yesterday's Star-Telegram telling how he made sure that he would get $ 75 million out of the bankruptcy, even though all of these small people would lose a lot. He needs to just crawl into a cave and never come out again.
A pink compound bow? Robin Hood weeps. An archer should always sport the look of wood.
My Other Brother Darryl
ps - You all can thank me later for the setup. Snark away.
Confusion between "would of" and "would have"? Easy. NEVER use "would of"!
Your favorite courthouse grammar "expert" :)
OK then, which drunk drivers should we allow to continue on down the road so that we don't arrest too many? I WANT people that are drinking to be off the road, each one of them if possible.
Never mind the bow, I'm just glad for this visual from today's pic: pink...quiver
"Would of" grammatically speaking, doesn't make any sense. That's a result of people trying to sound out the shortened form of "would have".
Fitty Cent - he need to change his name to Fi'teen Cent. HOLLA!!!
Pic today is a 0
Please take a look at the update's website and tell me that fireman isn't showing off his undies!??
Pants on the Ground!
Breaking News..hit and run on CR 2690 near Alvoid, vehicle vs bicycle...
To settle your dilemma: "would of" is not proper. It's only the shortened and improper form of "would have", which is proper.
As for American Idol, I understand your boredom, as I love American Idol, but feel the same level of boredom towards anything involving SPORTS!
"quota system"....oh ya think!!
Have you seen the alligator swimming around in Lake Bridgeport? That sucker is huge.
9:37...At least with sports you have talented people that have crafted their skill over many years, vs. AI where you just have a handful, and I mean a handful, of folks with talent but with little skill. All that combined with the shenanigans of AI and I think I would take sports any day, even soccer.
I think "would of" is someone trying to pronouce "would've".
bad day all around barry. could have been some good links if you would have posted the things you were talking about. instead you are stuck with a bad grade for the day

i think this chick is a member of "Team Texas Archery".... lol. what a bunch of wanna bees
Actually, people write would of, could of, might of, for the correct would've, could've, might've.....which are the contractions for the verb phrases: would have, could have, might have...etc.
Welcome! :-)
Should be no confusion between "would of" and "would have", except spelling. If spelled correctly, it's not "would of", but "would've" (contraction).
Example: "I would've been in court on time today, judge, but my pants fell down at the accident scene, and so I couldn't get here."
Funny thing. I was going to make a snide remark about how "would have" and "would of" were not the only problem. I was going to savagely mock you for the incorrect use of disinterested ("unbiased; not influenced by selfish motives") when you clearly meant uninterested ("having or showing no feeling of interest.") Then I read the second meaning of the word disinterested and it said "not interested; indifferent," which is how you used it. So now I have to divert this huge torrent of mockingingness toward myself for trying to appear superior. It's gonna be a long day.
And you told that on yourself, WK.....
I like that.
I almost never agree with your opinions, but I respect you.
I was told that voting for Obammy would end racism in this country. Axe yourself if you were told the same thing. I would of voted for McCain if I had known that the media lied to us.
(1) would have (or would've) is correct. would of is not.
(2) the rangers bankruptcy plan calls for full payment to creditors.
So what happened with all the people getting fired in Bridgeport yesterday? Anybody heard anything?
I heard they got fired!
That ain't Fitty- believe me Fitty's a friend of mine and that ain't no Fitty. Y'all done been punked!
I love to see a woman 'archer' back...
