High Speed Chase

Got reports last night of half of the county's law enforcement chasing a sports bike. Heard it went down 2123 out of Bridgeport and then onto 51 northbound back to Decatur. Last report I heard was "it didn't look good for the biker." Edit: Got a pic from an emailer. Bike looks fine.

the guy was wanted for a parole violation, that's why he ran. one of the cops chasing him ran into his bike coming into decatur near wells fargo bank..it was pretty exciting stuff on the scanner though..it started in decatur on 380 near the sheriff office, went thru b'port, down 114 then back up 51 to decatur.

He was being chased because he had a parole warrant. He needs to go back to PRISON because the dumb ass could not function without getting into trouble.. HELLO WIN COLUMN,,,to the cops.

Glad someone didn't lose their life, like last time. If they knew who he was, wait and get him tomorrow. Just saying!

804 didn't see the telephone pole the stupid biker hit on 1810 last year. How would you like to be hit in the door like that.I really couldn't give a --it less if he had stopped or was still fleeing when he got hit.He didn't drive up on him far enough.DAGO

10:57, so you're view on the issue is if someone's on a bike and they decide to run, we should just let them go? They don't need to be held responsible for their driving, etc?

Gives Us sports bike riders a Bad name! I am not an idiot please dont label me as such just because I ride a sports bike!

ok 2:14 from yesterday. I bet the policy on pursuits detest the ramming of a motorcyle during said pursuits. What do you think, is hitting a moving motorcycle better than tagging a stopped one?

good looking wrecker driver there

Kinda looked like a trooper to me on that bike, maybe he should have shot his tire out before he could run...lol

I saw the chase, I almost T-Boned one of Bridgeport's finest. I was in Bridgeport leaving Allsups. There were 2 Bridgeport cop cars, 2 state troopers, and a county that came out of no where without their sirens on, just their lights were on. They all drove right thru the red light. I saw the motorcycle pass, and several seconds later, if not more, here come the police. Yes i agree you must be pretty stupid to run from the law, how far can you really believe you will get. BUT..... those cops had no business chasing him thru town especially without sirens, was nothing learned from the officer white/stephen york incident? I in NO WAY fault officer white, but once again the cops had no business chasing him thru town , for as long as they did and as fast as they did, especially being so close to schools letting out
