Saw At A Fort Worth Sonic Today

I'm supposed to donate in order for them to learn about the "culture"? That's kind of like asking me to fund a vacation.

I tipped a buck. But I always tip a buck.

I'm with ya BG.......this happens all the time at one of the Frisco Sonics. No pressure though, yeah right! Hey kids get a job and work after school, like the rest of us did...............

Moreover, the regular employees of Sonic get screwed out of their ability to make a little extra on tips. Some Sonics have two groups in every weekend to raise funds. The managers don't realize that it gets a little old knowing that everytime you go to Sonic you're going to be asked for a donation. I am very generous to public school types of activities, and will go if I see that's the case. Band, cheerleaders, ballplayers, etc....that are raising funds genuinely needed in support of the public school activities. I do not tip people who are in optional things such as private leagues whose tournaments are in Vail, kids wanting to go to Italy, etc. Mostly though, I've stopped going to Sonic.

I understand your initial feeling about "funding their vacation" but some of these programs are truly educational and genuinely worthwhile for students that may never benefit from a program like this at such a "relatively" inexpensive cost. I suspect there are a few scammers, but some may really need the help and at least they are working towards it. arivfte

This is a good idea. My funds are a little low on the mind-broading substance front. I'm starting a little group named "feed the grassmonster". Please send your donations so I may experience a little culture right away. I'm going to sit over here and eat these cheetos and wait for the money to roll in.

I thought this was going to be an homage to the old KWCS program. I got an old lawn mower and set of wheels to a '89 F-150 I need to get rid of.
