I was struggling while writing with The Spin tonight when I recalled the old Channel 8 public service announcement that used to run before the news. If I remember correctly, it said "It's 10:00 p.m., do you know where your children are?"
Gold.

I remember that post! Geeze, Barry, you're as old as I am! LOL!
When I was a kid growing up on Vine Street, we could stay out until the street lights came on. If you were'nt home when they came on, you better have a dang good story.
When our kids were teenagers, we'd tell them that nothing good can happen to you after midnight. They thought we were the meanest parents in the world with this curfew.
LOL I was thinking of that last week! I grew up in west Texas, my mom told us to be home at 10 everynight, we would set in front of the tv and ask our mom do you know were you children are?
My prayers go out to those families. And who knows what those kids may have told their parents. "I am staying at my friends house" and they ended up staying up all night.
But my first reaction was what in the world were kids that young doing out that late at night. Even when I was 17, if I was not home by 12:30 p.m., my Dad was out looking for me.

They are all at Wal-Mart between 10pm and 3am causing trouble.

My dear ol' pappy always said, "Son, if you are not in bed by 10 come on home!"
