23 Days And Counting

College football is around the corner and the first point spreads are out for opening weekend:

TCU over Baylor by 21 (The suffering continues)
The Evil Empire over Arkansas State by 37 (Southlake would be a better opponent.)
Oklahoma over North Texas by 38 (Todd Dodge an underdog?)
Texas Tech over SMU by 11 (only 11?)
Texas A&M over Montana State by ??? (I didn't see it.)

Edit: Some people pick on the Evil Empire too much. Maybe.

Edit: Aggie War Hymn on Guitar Hero?

Edit: The greatest Big 12 preview in the history of ever.

Do they even do point spreads on games between DIA and DIAA teams?

By the way, everyone seems to think Texas Tech is going to be bad this year.

Montana St is division 2 and Vegas does not have d-2 lines, especially when playing a d-1 team.

Nice photo of one of the "Evil Empire's" spawn.

Mean Green led by the playcalling mastermind Dodge will shock the Sooner Nation.

In SEC news, look for Auburn to crush Kansas State. War dam Eagle!

At some point, Dodge may really get something going at UNT. Running an exciting, fast paced offense will get attention. But I'm not sure that happens this year.

UNT has always just tried in the past to play it close to teams like Texas, etc. by running the ball and slowing down the game by draining the clock every snap.

Texas Tech has to replace four of its gfive offensive linemen, and many of their receivers. However, and as much as I DESPISE Graham Harrell (and I'm a Tech FAN), I think Tech will have a good season again...

What you really mean is ENVIED Empire, admit it now, c'mon.....

Hook 'em

Go ahead, someone, say "Book 'em"; we deserve it, I have to admit that too.

4:19, you may be right. We'll see how good Dodge's scheme is when the athletes across the line from his are bigger and faster than his are. The fact that Southlake kids routinely beat up on teams comprised of kids from low to middle income families who don't have as much time or resources for football preparation, special uniforms, training, lifting, drilling together, etc. does not impress me. For Dodge, he's now on the other side of it. We'll see how good a coach he is.

GO FROGS!!!!!!

Mark it down. TCU will beat Texas in a low scoring game, but then will suffer a stupid loss later in the year that knocks them out of a chance for the BCS and possibly national title.

Dr. B Anjo all your picking and grinnin is giving me a case of the Heehaws...cut it out.

I'm wondering: is the Texas "Character Team" for charges or actual convictions?

In any case, I wonder if the percentage of football players charged is any different from any other population.

I can't believe that I've ever agreed with Mizcheif about anything, but I, too, like the UT "Character" list. I think the race for the South title will be as usual between the aggies, sooners, and short-horns. I think I like my Aggies chances better than ever this year. Tech will throw in an upset here or there, then losing at least three games to teams they should slaughter. Gig'em Aggies!!

I hardly think the ag-roids can be considered a team that "as usual" is in on the Big 12 race......not based on recent years.
