sad that young girls have come to this...i remember not eating for a week when i was in high school to lose a little weight, but am glad that i didn't fall into this. i feel very sad for these girls.
I am not sure I buy the whole they see someone fat in the mirror thing. I went thru spells when I was younger of not eating for weeks. The longest I went was about 6 weeks without much more than water or maybe a diet soft drink. I didn't look in the mirror and think I was fat. I looked in the mirror and saw someone getting thinner. Granted the lowest I got only got me down to a size 3 and I am 5ft 8in but let's face it. Society and obviously Barry like thin women. When we don't eat it gives us power over ourselves if nothing else. It is all a mind game they play with themselves and quite honestly they like it or they wouldn't do it.
Listening to some of you, it's no wonder these poor girls have eating disorders.
Condoleesa: I'm real sure they enjoy killing themselves. That was a very insensitive comment. Read the facts before you start making an uneducated analysis. Everyone with these horrible attitudes are part of the problem, not the cure.
You have to understand the mindset of an Anorexic. They could reach a weight of 68 lbs and absolutely still view themselves as 'fat'like the girl in the video. They see every little flaw because they strive for perfection and when the case is severe enough, they will stop at nothing to achieve their idea of the 'perfect' body, even if it means dying for it. Anorexia (and Bulemia) is a mental illness and 9x out of 10, there is so much more to it for these people besides wanting to be thin or lose a few extra pounds.
Ya know, she may be carrying a little more weight than I am, but I would still consider her thin compared to half of the "real" women out there today. To all of these anonymous commenters, would you rather look at a girl that looks like the mirror girl, or the super too-think girl?
Moma, I didn't think the normal girl looked "fat" either. She looks like the average teenager...healthy. Healthy. Healthy.
The other is a byproduct of all the "hot" nonsense that people try to adhere to...and to think, in Mauritania, Africa, "gavage" (obese) women are the "hot" standard.
