That poor little boy ~ could have been so much worse. Where were his parents? I hope Bridgeport coaches saw this as they let kids on the sideline(s) also. Is there not a UIL rule about this?
OK, I'm sure that NONE of you have screwed up, or never will screw up, as parents. So keep on with the holier-than-thou attitude and keep pointing fingers, you're all perfect.
Anon 2:17 - It has nothing to do about age, it is about children getting hurt being on the sideline NOT paying attention to what is going on around them.
If you call that spending time with their dad(s) I think you need to re-visit what spending "QUALITY" time with a parent is.
For anyone who has actually been INVOLVED in a Bridgeport football game, and actually been on the sideline with these kids, you'd know that they serve no purpose, and they definately aren't spending quality time with their fathers. When you have coaches that cuss out their players the whole time, that's no environment that these kids need to be in. Not to mention it being unsafe. The kids don't pay attention to the games when they are out there playing on the sidelines. The players are always running into them because they pay no attention to the game. The older ones help retrieve the balls every once and a while but other than that, there's no reason for them to be out there. It's just an excuse for them to spend the school districts money sending them to and from games, eat the food that is for the players, and a free babysitter so their mothers don't have to watch them while the mom's can watch their cheerleader wannabe daughters and also drop babies on their heads.
I guess if my son wants to spend quality time with his dad they should go to a football game and stand on the sideline instead of maybe going camping, fishing, hunting, etc....

Parents? Anyone?
I'm feeling mostly sorry for that poor football player.....just doing his thing and some STUPID parent is allowing his kid to wander!!!!
I wouldn't let my four-year-old get that close to a pee-wee field. Oh, but wait, I'm a good parent.

First, the child who was injured is much younger than the boys who are on the sidelines at the Bulls games
Second, no, there is not a UIL rule.
In 14 years, none of the boys have been injured, but they have had the opportunity to spend a little time near their dads.
If you are so concerned about their welfare, the best thing for you to do is to support their dads.
i don't thinks the kids on the bport sidelines are 'spending a little time with their dads' . its more like 'grab ass'
I think the "parent" of this kid should be charged with child endangerment. Simple - the kid should have been nowhere near the sideline.
His parents thought about aborting him but decided to just let him roam the sidelines.
Maybe someone should have thought about aborting the parents.
is it legal to abort a fetus up to the minute prior to birth?
i heard it was.
don't they(dr.s) cut them up in pieces to get them out of the womb?

no wonder the bport is so poorly coached, the coaches are too busy spending quality time with their kids during a game
