. . . but Tim Russert made one of his many appearances today on The Today Show in connection with the Scooter Libby verdict (a verdict that the public really doesn't care too much about because it gives everyone Tired Head).
Man, that guy is so full of himself.

Tim Russert has become a caricature of himself.
You would think that a lawyer would know that you can't take a lawyer with you to a grand jury. The wrong man was convicted yesterday. Richard Armitage should have come forth and told Fitgerald it was he who outed Plame and even then it would not have been a crime because Plame was not covert and hadn't been for over 5 years. The old saying that even a ham sandwich can be indicted should be amended to say even a ham sandwich can be convicted.
Russert was the darling of the right for a long time. Now the tide has turned and he is afraid if he doesn't do something to gain favor w/ the left, he will wind up interviewing the 43rd man to claim to be Anna Nicoles baby's father.
I don't know about all that, but he did a good job in the Cuomo-Gingrich "dialogue."
