Bad, bad, bad. Especially because those signs are made by "professionals". The use of apostrophes is also terrible these days. Saw a very expensive restaurant marquee in Fort Worth that read "New Orlean's" cuisine. Well heck, as long as the Indians and Chinese can speak and write in English.
Yikes! One verbal slip that is seen/heard with increasing frequency is "They've got to get a new sign./I've got a bad cold." There is NEVER a time when it is CORRECT to use "have got."
"You've got mail!"
shut up, mzchief
Mschief, You have got to shut up
The one that drives me crazy is--"I took it off of the dresser". Don't say "off of". Just say "I took it off the dresser". Okay, my mother was an English teacher, I admit it. Also, let's not start another boring for/against mzchief vomitfest!
Not to use unnecessary HTML boldings (because we ALL know how annoying THAT can be, hint hint), but shouldn't it be "couldn't have", and not "couldn't of"?
BITCHES I LOVE SOME BOLD WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Both BA and Iberia have on the agenda c trick been losing money during the downturn as businesses
