Once again the liberal spin machine using polls to make news. Pathetic. I am glad our fighting men and women aren't watching this crap and are enlisting at record numbers. Thank God for them.

Anonymous said...

Oh yes, us liberals come after you with "Numbers" and "Facts" and all that Hocus Pocus. How dare we!

Anonymous said...

I would bet my life that no more than a thousand people were polled. So 700 people are of the mindset of 300 million? How dare you.

Anonymous said...

So are you telling me that the entire poll is bullcrap and you don't believe that a majority of Americans are sick of Dubya? Are you really that ignorant? Tell me... What kind of poll WOULD suit you?

Anonymous said...

Yes, That is exactly what I am telling you.

Anonymous said...

A poll that would suit me is to poll all the people that voted last November and to word it as not to lead them to the pollster's presumed conclusion.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, you're hopeless. You offer nothing to back up anything you've said. It doesn't take anything less than a third grade education to know that most Americans can't take Dubya anymore.

Anonymous said...

And I'm done talking to you, btw. As you have caused me to lose even more of my faith in humanity.

Anonymous said...

So can you rebutt the fact that only a thousand people speak for all America?

Anonymous said...

Thanks, I hate talking to people with the same personality as a dial tone and the same education level as a 3rd grader.

Anonymous said...

OK, so you zinged me, I see the mistake. I'll brush up on my grammar while you go take a F**KING STATISTICS CLASS.

Anonymous said...

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Anonymous said...

Hey dipstick, I called my 3rd grade math teacher and she said that 70% of a thousand is 700. She also said she could squeeze you into her class next semester.

All this poll proves is that the Islamic terrorists have beaten us in the propaganda war, with their willing accomplices, the American TV and press corps. Any US progress has been ridiculed and countered by the media, while enemy successes have been ballyhooed.

Have you ever, ever, heard a positive report on Iraq from the media? What military successes can you recall being reported?

Of course the war could have been handled better. With 20/20 hindsight, so could any war that's ever been fought. But a poll of people (who know only what they've been fed by the media) on the popularity of war strategy? Ill-informed and worthless, except as aid and comfort to the enemy.

Guys, it was a war of choice, based on false assumptions with predictable results. The sad part is we need to save George's ass to keep our standing in the world.....and the options are limited. Bad as Sadam was, one can see why a strong man is necessary to keep sectarian violence in check. The above banter is proof that sectarian violence can come to America (at least in the name calling variety) We are going to pull out. Pity the poor families that lose loved ones between now and then. The media didn't cause this war. Polling is usually accurate, and yes, Americans will pay a price for a war of choice, poorly executed, and arrogantly promoted.

I have yet to meet a liberal (honestly) with the integrity and conviction to bet his career on something he believed in and stand by his belief despite public opinion. Kudos Mr. Bush!

Anonymous said...

Hey, I don't think Clinton's rating was very high when we finally got rid of him either. Certainly wasn't with me.

Instead of bitching about President Bush, how about supporting our troops and our country.

Man, I thought we were rid of txsharon. I really thought that prayer had been answered.

People, stop listening to Barry. He's full of crap but well entitle to have those opinions. Unfortunately, so is txsharon. I think I'll just skip hers. She needs to move in with the nutsy Cindy Sheehan. They would be perfect together.

Anonymous said...

OMG - txsharon is pushing for Al Gore for President. Excuse me, I have to go throw up now!!

Anonymous said...

screw the poles. we are at war
its a shame that the dems would completly undermine the effort just to get power back, bad thing is the people fell for it. the enemy declard victory after the election and with good cause. the majority doesnt have the guts or the heart to do what is necessary to win this. when we win a battle all we hear about is the civilian deaths. it seems that we havent one or finished a war since our enemies have figured that out.

Anonymous said...

What evidence is there that conservatives have exclusive rights to integrity and character?

Few of us are all conservataive or all liberal. In most cases each group wouldn't recognize themselves the way they are painted by the opposition.

I don't doubt for a moment that George believes in what he is doing. I however, don't want my son to die for what I think are his misjudements.

Support the troops? You'll have to get behind me fellows. My son should not have been sent without adequate armor or have to ride in poorly equipped vehicles or step between waring religious groups.

Support the Commander in Chief? Only when he makes good decisions.

A few points that will be disregarded by the closed minded:
1. Polls are NOT accurate - they usually have a error of + or - 3%. That means as few as 67% or as many as 73% disapprove of Iraq policy.
2. It's not the media's fault that there is scant positive information coming from Iraq - the place is a royal mess.
3. My nephew just returned from Baghdad after 1 year there. He and other soldiers NEVER left their secure base because to travel anywhere there is just too dangerous.
4. None of the 9/11 attackers was from Iraq. No WMD have been found.
5. Bush lied and is now paying the penalty.

Anonymous said...

Excuse me, but by supporting your troops and your country, I don't believe you are committing total submission to President Bush. Pray for the man and your COUNTRY!

For goodness sake, I don't anyone else to die. I want our soldiers home. I simply suggest a little love, compassion and support for those men and women working their asses off over there.

Am I a Bush supporter right now? No, I don't agree with a lot of things he has done. Could I do a better job? NO!! Do I know everything our leaders know? NO!! But do I support our country? YES, with all my heart.

For all of you who haven't figured it out Polling can be scewed in many different ways depending on what answers they want.

Here is how:
1000 people, they can keep dialing the phone until they reach 1000 different people or they can call the same numbers until someone picks up the phone. Who answers the home phone during the day. The rich and the poor. The middle class is at work. As we all know the rich and poor are steroetypically democratic.

Are they calling 1000 people spread out over the US or in New Jersey.

Polls are very deceiving and it amazes me how the public believes it every time. However I am not saying that everybody loves George.

Hey Sheehan, One liberal blog is all we can handle. You might want to go into recycling used tampons.

Anonymous said...

RR.. You can't recycle tampons. That would be unhealthy and disgusting. Unless, of course you are talking about a different kind of recycling. It is so cute that you like txsharon so much. Your attitude completely changed when she put her pic up. How sweet.

Anonymous said...

Just squeeze the blood out and put em in the dishwasher. Hang em on the line and slip em in. RR was right, my wife does it all the time.

Anonymous said...

Who cares about polls anyway?

We blame ALL of this war mess on Bush? STUPID

How many Republicans AND Democrats voted to GO TO WAR?

As we write on this blog, just bet big eyed dyed hair Nancy Polosi is asking her advisers how to lie to the American public in January and make them believe it.

Just more of the same old same old.

wordkyle said...

ANON 9:26 AM: Regarding a couple of your points:

The media DO help make the mess. Whatever happens, they report negative news. The negative news influences public opinion, which is in turn reported as news. The negative polls encourage our enemies, who fight with renewed vigor. And the cycle continues. Not all news in Iraq is good, of course, but from the media's treatment you'd believe that all news is bad.

At the risk of beating a dead nag, the 9/11 terrorists were part of a larger group of terrorists. Iraq provided headquarters, operating bases, training camps, and other support to terrorist groups. To say that "none of the 9/11 attackers was from Iraq" is accurate; to say that Iraq had no ties to terrorism of the sort perpetrated on 9/11 is not.

As for WMD: Over 500 WMD have been found in Iraq, with an unknown number still unfound. Add that number to what might have been moved to Syria. So the popular myth that "there were no WMD" is incorrect.

There is no evidence that Bush lied. Another canard.

12:23 anon: Don't let WK get you down he is S T R E T C H I N G things to suit is twisted purpose. I'm sure he has a drip from Fox News that goes straight into his brain.

Here's the truth about the WMDs that were found:

"The munitions addressed in the report were produced in the 1980s, Maples said. Badly corroded, they could not currently be used as originally intended, Chu added."

These were very old weapons that had been buried and likely forgotten.

The 911 terrorists were members of al Qaeda and followers of bin Laden. Sadam was trying to capture bin Laden and he did not harbor them and all that yatty, yatty...

txsharon - go away, please.

You interpret things for only your satisfaction!!!

You never see both sides.

Anonymous said...

I just wonder how far we would be in creating affordable alternative energy solutions with the billions of dollars that have been spent on the Iraq war.

Anonymous said...

So tell us about both the sides, oh enlighted one:34PM.

Anonymous said...

Geeeezzzz, WordPyle.......how many WMD's do we have right here in the United States?

Anonymous said...

Who gives a shit about alternative energey if your dead. Iran is seeking alternative energy also even though they are sitting on one of the worlds largest petroleum reserves. I hate you pussy whining liberals with your we are the world, we are the children crap.

2:03, I hope we have more than we will ever need.

TxSheehan, Saddam was trying to capture Bin Laden? That's the funniest thing I've heard all year. You really truly seriously need to lay off tin foil hats because you have serious drain bamage. You must really have a big ass for you to have pulled that one out of your seriously big asshole. Keep posting. You are better than the funny pages.

The so-called War on Terror was and is still necessary. Additionally, it is almost certain to continue for years despite who happens to be in the White House. Unless, of course, Americans are willing to give up their lives and their freedom so that wealthy, elite Muslims can impose their ideas about world order. Happy days ahead? I think not.

2:03PM - well, let's see.....our children are being raped by your religions, and, although I am sure you will disagree, our polar ice caps are melting. There are a lot more people in the world that actually care, and try to do something than your small pea brain can ever imagine. Go load your guns, it's almost time for the Wise County Militia meeting.

Sheehan, Your story changes every time you post. Lay off the tin foil. You are causing radio jamming between aircraft and the control tower.

TX SHARON 1:25 PM version: "...the weapons would be very valuable to terrorists and insurgents. We're talking chemical agents here that could be packaged in a different format and have a great effect [referencing the sarin-gas attack on a Japanese subway in the mid-1990s]. Regardless of (how much material in the weapon is actually chemical agent), any remaining agent is toxic. Anything above zero (percent agent) would prove to be toxic, and if you were exposed to it long enough, lethal." - Army Lt. Gen. Michael D. Maples, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Maples said he doesn't believe Iraq is a "WMD-free zone."

"This is true even considering any degradation of the chemical agents that may have occurred. It's not known exactly how sarin breaks down, but no matter how degraded the agent is, it's still toxic." - Army Col. John Chu, commander of the National Ground Intelligence Center.

2:59. What does cyclical weather change have to do with your chidren getting raped?

Anonymous said...

Slap her down, wordkyle!

Anonymous said...

OK, wordkyle, now that your idiotic claim that the finding of some 500 old chemical weapons justified the war on Iraq. Did you check into where these nasty weapons came from? Check the serial numbers or other identifying information and you'll find they came from good ole Ronnie Reagan who supplied Saddam in his war against Iran. So we went to war to retrieve the weapons we supplied to Iraq? Kinda stupid don't you think?

wordkyle said...

ANON 5:24 PM: I'm glad to see you admit that WMD were found in Iraq. Which was my point. Thanks for the confirmation.

Anonymous said...

"slap her down, wordkyle" That is truly a pathetic, sexist remark. I love what Txsharon has to say. Leave her the hell alone!

I do not know how we got off on this Bull about weapons but the bottom line ...

BUSH is a F-A-I-L-U-R-E

And America knows it and for all you band wagon Bush Lovers on the sinking ship ...

Please just go to any mall ... star bucks or any other public place and stop and ask the adverage Americans. Not everyone is a bleeding heart commie loving liberal hell bent on giving away the farm to pregnant un employed black lesbians with a limp (the ultimate in covering every American hang up) as you would like everyone to believe.

wordkyle said...

ANON 6:07 PM: In many ways, I agree with you. Bush was too accommodating to the Democrats and abandoned many Conservative principles in his effort not to appear "partisan." His political foes exploited these weaknesses. The Republican congress had many of the same faults, with the same results.

Even Liberal Democrats have to run as Conservatives to get elected.

Anonymous said...

Wordkyle you are somewhat on target. Actually they were Blue Dog Democrats without a party. When the Democrats became WAY TOO LIBERAL there is nowhere for them to go and the moderate Democrat was forced to go to the Republican Party as a choice of two evils.

But ... things are turning and the Moderate Blue Dogs are on the swing.
