I don't agree with his position, but at least he has one and is not afraid to stand his ground...you cannot say that about many politicians!

For an even bigger Sheesh, go read about this subject on the Messenger Forum Board. I.G.N.O.R.A.N.T.

You don't have to be ignorant to hate

Gee, I love how this country is based on freedom of religion--as long as it's not Christianity. ANY OTHER religion gets a fair shake in the media and is treated with kid gloves. Christianity, on the other hand, is ridiculed, scorned as second-class, and Christians are portrayed on TV as backwater hicks or maniacal crazy people.
This man is apparently a Christian, nbut yet he is ridiculed for not wanting to cowtow to Muslims.

Hey TxSheehan, What would you raise the minimum wage to? I.G.N.O.R.A.N.T. Well said 1:18

Christianity does not endorse hate...You may say all day you are a Christian but it is your actions that speak. Rewrite this letter but change the word Bible to Koran and Koran to Bible--Now how do you as a Christian feel? To remain a united nation we must continue to have tolerance of others beliefs. It is through love that they will see your God not through hate or discrimination. Mr. Goode, you may be a Christian but I don't want any part of your belief system.

All religions endorse hate no matter how well they disguise it!!!

Hey TxSheehan, Why so stingy with the minimum wage? Why not 20 bucks an hour? Is it because then they would be making more than you at Costco?

3:56, You'll have to excuse Sheehan. Her drain has been bamaged by liberalism.

This man who wrote the letter is a racist, backwoods hick, with a 5th grade education.

That Muslim man who was elected into office by the PEOPLE of his state has just as much right to be there as that redneck from Virgina.

He chose to swear in on the Koran. Good for him! Atleast he chose a book he respects. It would be foolish for a Muslim to swear in on a Bible.

The declaration of Independance states. "All men are created equal". So a Muslim is just as good as a Christian!

(this post is being made by a Christian btw.)

Inelegant though the letter might be, it's nothing compared to what Muslims have done:

In London, Muslim protesters carried signs reading "Massacre those who insult Islam".

Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury was jailed for publishing articles that urged his nation of Bangladesh to recognize Israel, advocated interfaith dialogue, and condemned terrorism.

Ironically, the much-maligned French may finally be the ones who sound the alarm:

Robert Redeker, a French teacher, received death threats after writing an opinion piece condemning Islam. A group of French intellectuals responded with "appel en faveur de Robert Redeker" ("An appeal in support of Robert Redeker")

They see their most fundamental liberties endangered by a handful of fanatics under the pretense of relgious laws, and decry the tendency in Europe to avoid "provocations" in order to not anger supposed foreign sensitivities.

All I can say is Vive le Goode provocateur!
