But enough of that. On a materialistic note, cool gifts today: I got my mom a Roomba (that's a robotic vacuum cleaner which was a blast to watch), and I got a Slingbox.

Will those Roomba's pick up hunks of cowshiate about the size of a silver dollar that contain various slivers of hay, that my dad tracks in after feeding the bovines? If so, I will buy one for my Mom. Otherwise, someone please turn me on to some sort of magnetic shoe/cow shiate remover that I can leave at the back door for them.
