Uh Oh

There is a huge atrocity coming to light in Iraq. Excerpt: A bomb rocked a military convoy on Nov. 19, killing a Marine. Mr. Murtha, who has been briefed by officials, said Marines then fatally shot unarmed civilians in a taxi at the scene and went into two homes and shot other people. Iraqis who identified themselves as survivors of the killings described Marines fatally shooting 19 persons in three homes, among them a 77-year-old man in a wheelchair and a 4-year-old boy in one home and five children, ages 3 to 14, in another home, the New York Times reported yesterday. Time Magazine broke the story.

Time broke the story last year. The coverup has worked until now.

It's not like it's a secret, has everyone already forgotten about the leash-play? Terrorists are people, mighty marines are too. You can't delude yourself into thinking they don't kill "for fun", rape and assault innocent people. That's what soldiers do in war, they have a free ticket to go nuts and still be a hero when they return, and you'll probably at the verge of madness in a war situation anyway.

Egads, people, get ready for the comments now!! (Especially after the comments above.)

9:06AM WHAT AN IDIOT!!! Terrorists are not people they are animals! They kill innocent people. Our soldiers ARE NOT over there killing "for fun" don't label all of them because of the actions of a few bad ones! They are fighting for your right to open your fat mouth and voice your idiot opinions. I'm all for freedom of speech but in some cases duct tape is more appropriate!

10:26 Read the damn article. Civilians and children were killed. Certainly you do not believe that every man, woman and child in Iraq is an animal. Don't label all of the human beings animals because of the acts of a few bad ones.

10:26 What do the innocent casualties have do with our freedom of speech? I am not afraid of citizens of Iraq threatening my right to speak or listen to your insanity.

10:37AM I DID NOT SAY EVERY MAN WOMAN AND CHILD IN IRAQ WAS AN ANIMAL!!! I SAID THE TERRORISTS WERE ANIMALS! I DO BELIEVE WHAT THOSE SOLDIERS DID WAS WRONG BUT DON'T LABEL ALL OF THE SOLDIERS AS KILLERS BECAUSE OF THOSE FEW BAD ONES! 9:06 LABELED ALL SOLDIERS AS KILLERS AND RAPISTS! "A FREE TICKET TO GO NUTS" SHE SAYS! APPARENTLY YOU TWO HAVE NOT SERVED YOUR COUNTRY IN ANY WAY.

Ignore Nathalie, she lives in Sweden, so she's busy practicing art in one of those countries that if not for the U.S. she would be studying in German.

10:52 is right. We should not label all military people based on these few.

And we don't know all the details either - just what the press feeds us.

Whatever, it is sad for all.

If Time magazine or the New York Times said it was so, then it must be. How about waiting until the Marines finish their investigation.

They are fighting for their lives! Alot of them, fresh out of high school.
They are shooting first, asking questions later. Don't judge until you're put into that position.

War remains hell. We just get to choose the location of the hell, unless stupid people prefer for them to come for us here. Time magazine is not an independent, unskewed, non agenda news source. You do realize that don't you?

The official Marine report: Those fires were started before we got here. Those farmers were dead when we got here.

I'm sure it'll be just like My Lai. Brushed under the carpet.

We only see what the media allows us to see.

We hear that so many Iraqis are angry mobs attacking our soldiers demanding that the US goes home. Ask a returned soldier what the people say though. Someone close to me returned from Iraq this year. He was stationed at a base near Fallujah, which is supposed to be one of the more volatile areas. He said the locals were happy to see the soldiers and very hospitable. He was invited to dinner several times, and even had "tea" with one man in his home. He says the ones that were not so friendly were A)the terrorist cells and B) the friends of Saddaam that used to live in big fancy houses with big fat pocket books funded by their former regime. Those people were mad because the fall of the regime cut off their source of money.

Be careful about believing everything the media tells you.
