Eyebrows were raised when Texas A&M recruit Terrence McCoy made the following statement to a Midland reporter:
"They take care of you down there," McCoy said. "I know from my brother they keep your pockets full, give you plenty of money, keep feeding you meals. Besides that all the help they give you with football. They keep you on your grades with private tutoring. Just good all-around."
The funny thing is how buried that quote was in a run of the mill article in Midland-Reporter Telegram

I think you will find that he was talking about the huge sum of $30 that every university is allowed to spend on a recruit to entertain them when they make their official visit overnuight visit to the campus and the meals provided in the athletic dining room which is considerably better than the regular dining halls on campus. For some kids, $30 is quite a bit of money compared to what they have back home. The money is not actually given to the recruit, but to a member of the football team who serves as his host and he spends the money to pay for the recruit's entertainment costs.
I'm sure that is what every Aggie will say....and that's the story they'll stick by! (BTW...I think the sportswriter that wrote that article is a graduate of University of Missouri!?!)
I saw it last Thursday in the Dallas News.
The Ags will do an internal investigation and determine that it was Missouri fault.
