Wish I Could Find The Clip

There was a story on the news this morning of a baby found floating in a trash bag in Brazil. I can't remember if I was watching Good Morning America or the Today show, but one of the shows had the actual amateur videotape of a guy fishing the bag out of the lake and opening up to see this crying baby. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. I'm looking for the video. Edit: I found a photo. Edit #2: And another.

How can a person throw away a baby? I will never understand. There are so many people that want to adopt.

Another thing, adoption in so expensive, there are loving couples who would take that child no questions asked.

There is a special place in hell for those that throw away helpless babies.

I agree, miz.gina...I cannot fathom taking that tiny little girl, and abandoning her alfloat. Her mother belongs in that special place you're talking about...

The lady said she gave the baby to the "Homeless People" and they threw her in the river .....

Drug addiction in South America (& Wise County) is an epidemic ... this is a very sad commentary on today's society that people feel even life is 'Disposable".

I thought we arrested all the drug dealers in Wise County???

Heard this morning that the mother or "homeless people" put a board in the bag with the baby, probably expecting it to weight the bag down. However, the board kept the bag afloat long enough for her to be found. God love that sweet baby!

Adoption is not expensive if you go through Child Protective Services. if you really want to help a child, become a foster parent and adopt. These are the children (like the one in the picture) that truly need loving people and a house to call home.
