Having reporters out in the hurricanes is just another example of how our mainstream news media is emphasizing "showboating" over journalism more and more.
Standing in the midst of hurricane driven weather is dumb and lends no more credit to the "journalist" who does it. Do they think viewers see them as brave? Nope, just dumb. If the weatherman says the winds are 150 mph...I believe him...I don't need to see a journalist tossed around to be convinced.

I saw this live when it happened on the news the other morning. I can't imagine that anyone is interviewing for the poor "leg-holder" job.
