Air Force Head Coach Fisher DeBerry is in trouble for these remarks:
"It's very obvious to me the other day that [TCU] had a lot more Afro-American players than we did. It just seems to be that way that Afro-American kids can run very, very well."
My only problem is with the term Afro-American.

I worked at the AFA for 6 years, met DeBerry, am of color, though not black. He should have stopped at "we need faster players"... I don't think he said it in a racial tone. If anything, caucasions should be insulted that he is saying they are not fast!!! :)
Yes us white boys are insulted even if it is true!
I thought he was saying they don't let "AfroAmericans" into the AFA.
How could you think that is racially biased anyway. I am sick of hearing about this on the news. Yes, black people can run, jump higher than us white guys. It is nothing racial, it is the truth. Who is the fastest man in the world? Michael Johnson, who just so happens to be black. Arguablly the greatest basketball player of all time-Michael Jordan, also black. People, black in nature tend to want to reach a certain level-compared to white people. Like those going for the NFL, MLB, NBA, etc. Some not all, are from the hood-and they know the only way to get their family out, is to be the best they can be. I am not so sure it is about race, but MOTIVATION.
All are made from the same dirt. The insult is anyone caring about what he said.
