No One Can Comprehend These Numbers

For the last three months, Microsoft had sales of $9.74 billion and a net income of $3.14 billion. What a monster. But just think, twenty years ago Bill Gates had this thought: "Every computer will need a software program that will allow it to launch other programs. Let's create one call Windows and sell it to every computer manufacturer on the planet." But who would have thought that computers would be part of our lives like they are. The Internet ratcheted up the stakes.

Actually, Steve Jobs had that thought and Bill Gates stole it from him.

No actually Gates just stole the idea of fashioning the desktop almost the same as the Apple desktop. While yes Microsoft is a monster-Linux is gaining more popularity than ever. Macs will be out within 10 years, I guarantee it. Microsoft Windows software will be replaced within 20 years. I promise within 20 years time, the advent of the Internet Operating System based on the AJAX web platform, designed by my company will be the next giant in the public information convenience systems market. This will completely eliminate the Windows OS, and bring in the ability for machines to run soley on an independent software system. Allowing the absolute same functionality and much more than the Windows OS. At the same time, increasing integrated security, 100X's better than Windows.

You guarantee and promise a lot for an anonymous person. I guess all experts have to keep that air of anonimity.

Well, 1:30 is right it only makes sense. As far as anonimity, he/she probably just didn't want to be named who knows. Who really cares, I guess making sure you have name like "condoleesa2" makes you a good member of the blogger society?

Why are we all so quick to criticize successful people? I'm using Windows XP at the moment, as I'm sure many of you are. Gates is to technology what Walton was to retail. Good for him.

Criticizing people? 1:30 is correct; but I am not sure about his/her business. With the way technology is flowing, Microsoft and Apple will definitley be out within 20 years. Consumers can only take so much pitifully coded software, that contains packets of flawed data-which then exposes their own customers to hackers. Keeping that trend up Microsoft might not last 10 more years, at least the "Windows Operating System" division.

Hi, this is Bill Gates and neenie narnie nu-nu stick your heads in doo-doo!

Connie, you are as astute in your evaluations of the software business as your other inane, misguided and outright silly comments. Don't you realize how superficial and inarticulate you appear? Hopefully, you were "educated" outside of Wise Co.

Anonymous,
I find it funny you use the words: astute, inane, superficial, to describe what I said. How is evaluating the software business such as I did being superficial say the least? If anything it is just my opinion, just like every other blogger on Barrys' forum. You don't have to agree; you don't have to disagree. Show me where I am wrong on my evaluation and I will shutup. The last 20 years have produced great advancements in technology. It was only 20 years after the Wright Bros. first flew their airplane, that a german scientist created the first designs for a jet engine. I am fine with posting anonymously, I do it all the time. But, if you are going to post something as assinine as you have at least put a name to the post. Grow some balls.

I think they are talking about me being inane and superficial. That works for me because often I intend to be inane and superficial (it is my inane and superficial and probably pathetic attempt at humor)

However, I do think it is very funny that ole Condi2 now that the tables are turned feels the need to hammer someone for their anonimity.

And we can all thank Al Gore for the World Wide Web.
