FYI: I Have No Decorations Up

"FREDERICA, Del. - The apparent suicide of a woman found hanging from a tree went unreported for hours because passers-by thought the body was a Halloween decoration, authorities said."

Oh, gosh....I'm biting my lip. One of those ironies that almost make you laugh, but you know you're not supposed to....bad time of year to knock one's self off, I guess.

Is it against the law to commit suicide? What's the penalty??

If you aren't successful, they take your clothes and your lighter and make you wear pajamas and a bathrobe all day and sit in group therapy.

I don't understand it! JUST BECAUSE I tried to kill myself ONE TIME, they pute me in a mental hospital! Sheesh.

I think you don't go to hell. I think God forgives you. There are many things worse than suicide.

I know people say it is the unforgivable sin but I see no reference to that in the Bible.

Both Exodus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 5:17 appear in the King James Version of the Bible as "Thou shalt not kill." Suicide is murder (self-murder). As such, it is forbidden by God.

In Matthew: "but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men." This is the only unforgiveable sin, not suicide. However, this is all dependent upon their salvation.
(Did they know Christ.)

The ACLU will defend anyone's right to kill themselves.
