Bridgeport's New Head Football Coach Is . . .

. . . Art Briles.

Kidding. The actual new coach is Shannon Wilson  from Bullard ISD. He won state championships at Southlake in the late 2000's as the Defensive Coordinator.

It wil be announced tonight.

This is unconfirmed but I'm comfortable enough to run with it

Adults get way too serious about 14 to 17 year old kids playing football.

What has he done at Bullard?

Barry Green grew up to be a childless loser. Sad!

Bullard equals athletes in which he did nothing with! Bridgeport equals Mexicans in which he will get fired in two years

Does he come with a wife that will demand a new district job be created for her? If not, you are missing out.

Good for BISD. At least they didn't go hire some overrated west Texas football coach for AD or Supt. like Decatur did. Boy, did our school board get sucker punched in those two guys.

@ 10:04, your statement, if we can call it that makes no sense at all. Your first sentence ends with a preposition...any fool knows one doesn't end a sentence with "with". Your second sentence implicates Mr. Bullard is a Hispanic; i.e. Mexican because "Bridgeport equals Mexicans in which he will get fired in two years". I'm surprised you can even count to two. Learn basic grammar first before you start spewing crap from your redneck upbringing. Get a life! Better yet, go get your GED!

Retired Grammar Teacher:

Many fools know nothing about ending sentences with a preposition, so your that any fool knows... seems a little off.

As for counting, the numbers that would seem to matter are 3 wins and 7 losses overall in 2016, with 0 wins and 6 losses in district play.

I hope the use of the word "with" meets with your approval.

Waste no doubt on ADs wife!

Only the Friday Update had worse grammar than Barry normally has, or 10:04 has in the comment on this post.
From the Update: "Before he arrived in Bullard, the program had went 18 years without a playoff berth and was coming off a 1-9 campaign in 2009."
"Had went" is bad enough! When did a football season become a "campaign"? Surely, you jest!
