Dateline: Kentucky Court (So Much Going On Here)

WDRB 41 Louisville News

  • The racial slur.
  • The defense lawyer getting slumped shoulders and just wanting to get the heck out of there.
  • The judge in a beaten down voice saying, "And the New Year starts."
  • The defendant trying to explain he directed it to his brother.

Maybe the judge can siphon part of that fine and take his staff to see that amazing, new Tarantino movie or possibly Django Unchained for a twofer.

Liberal hypocrisy knows no bounds.

I am not Sam, but I love green eggs and ham.

60 days for something the judges kids pay money to hear when they download music or go to a concert. Seems like society has it backwards.

Judicial branch of government not big on freedom of speech/expression.

Not surprising though, most government officials don't like that freedom, especially in a controlled environment, like Pakistan, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and France.

He should have just said he was practicing some rap before his live performance.

60 days for it though???

so the judge can spend taxpayer money any way he wants. I think it costs the taxpayers around 140.00 per day so that means we are forking over 8400.00 because he said something most people did not hear. have the judge pay for it

The Judicial Branch is the new ruling class and they like it.

The judge, Olu Stevens, has been involved in some racial shenanigans of his own. There is an ongoing investigation of him by the Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission over his comments alleging a top prosecutor wants "all-white" juries.

What we got here is a failure to communicate.

"Affluenza" lets you kill people, but ignorance gets you 60 days?

Technically, Judges have always been the ruling class. That's why they issue... wait for it... rulings.

There is a difference between free speech and courtroom decorum.

Judges tend to control the activity in their own sandbox, and for the most part, I don't blame them at all.
