- The guy who shined a laser into a Dallas PD helicopter was described as was described on Fox 4 News last night as wearing only boxers and smoking a cigarette. Heather Hays tried to make a joke out of it but everyone laid out on her.
- The Tarrant County DA is taking heat for the "no fault" settlement of a sexual harassment claim. But, as expected, the taxpayer spokesman for his office was defending him in a "statement" released to news outlets. However, that statement is conspicuously absent from the archive page of news releases.
- When a dispatcher sends out a "second tone" to a local fire department in Wise County, does that mean no responded to the first?
- That monkey that Iran says it sent into space may be the saddest looking monkey ever.
- The conservatives don't sound too excited about proposed immigration reform.

the word reform would seem to indicate that they are making something better. Not so much.

In regards to the FD question when a second tone goes out, that means they have had no response from members of that department. Sometimes FD personnel don't get the first tone and a second is done a few minutes later.
Each dispatch center works a little differently. But, most of them use a "second tone" if there is no response within a minute of the original tone. Generally, if more units are need they do another tone stating request for aid and indicate manpower, what kind of trucks, water, etc...

"Immigration reform" is a misnomer. If we're talking about the process of people entering our country -- immigration -- what policy will bear on those who do it illegally? What politicians need is a more accurate term for "what are we gonna do with the millions already here illegally" reform.
Seems like you are always "Danny Downer" on the Mark Davis Show. So why do you even listen to it? You need to mellow in your drive listening. Sheesh.
Am I the only one freaked out by knowing that Iran has capabilities of space travel and are testing it for nuclear warheads even though they say they aren't? Do you really trust Iran? Did you guys forget that Obama took this out of the hands of the American people and handed it over to these third world countries? I fear for our future, I hope you do too.

Getting in without paying a cover charge - that makes sense. But he also tried to get free drinks. Are you using "got to love the guy" in the same way folks use "bless your heart" and "aren't you precious"? Because you gotta be just short of special needs to think that's a good idea. Does this guy think it's commonplace for anybody to show a badge - of any kind - at a bar, and the drinks start coming? If you're there in an official capacity, you shouldn't be drinking. Otherwise, you're just another off-duty schmo who needs to pay for what you get

Conservatives may not like it, but "send them back" is not practical. You have to work out some kind of deal for the illegals who are here now to stay, provided they're not criminals (besides the illegal entry deal!). Strengthen the border, and anybody who can't prove they were here before X date will get sent back.
I think if you amended the "born here" rule, you might get a compromise. That little law is being severely abused
"Immigration reform", look at the Snapshot data on the Texas Education Agency site and you can see that we have an open border with Mexico and Hispanics are soon to regain control of the area that they lost in 1836. Throughout history people have migrated.
