The comments on this thread are interesting, specifically 12:24 and 12:29. Are you not saddened by this simply because the deceased was a lawyer? (Maybe you're sad, 12:29, but it looks more like a sarcastic comment.) If so, would your response be the same if the deceased were a police officer? Because they're both links in the criminal justice chain.
Maybe I'm reading it wrong. All I know is a guy was shot to death, and that sucks.
Maybe one day our backwoods commissioners court will realize that we actually need courthouse security measures to protect citizens and employees. You can currently walk in with a grenade launcher and no one will stop you!
I've never had a problem with zealous prosecutors. Why is that? Oh yeah, that whole concept of not stealing, killing, driving drunk, selling dope, kidnapping kids and the sort. Works like a charm if you want to avoid being having to deal with prosecutors of any kind.
I'd just like to point out that this occurred in the street thus any security measures at the Courthouse would've been of little use.-6:01
Are you saying a Gun Free Zone with adequate enforcement didn't work? That's why he was shot in the street instead of the courthouse. Extend that protection further and you would expand the safe zone.
Tombstone had stricter gun control in 1881 than Decatur has today.
How long till they say an assault weapon was used? You think they are just waiting to make sure that video evidence doesn't prove otherwise first? Oh wait that didn't matter at Sandy Hook! Guarantee if they had it would be national headlines!

We know it happened very near the courthouse. My point is that there is no security even at the courthouse. It does not exist!
This kind of stuff will only get more common as Obama's civil war gets underway.

I don't think I have ever seen a comment deleted on here before?
Personally, I blame Obama.
