It's not just Pixar. In the last few years, Disney has spent nearly $15 billion purchasing Pixar, Marvel, and now Lucasfilms (which includes Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and the just-as-lucrative production companies like Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound). Throw in their purchase a few years earlier of the Muppets, the fact that Disney owns several movie studios as well as ABC, ESPN, and other cable networks, and we have the makings of a media giant.

Theres a dark disturbance in the force......and it has mouse ears.
$4.5 BILLION for the "franchise"? Micky's gonna need a bunch of new star warriors with cash to burn.
So Disney buys Pixar a while back & now it is doing the same with Lucas Film?
Why am I reminded of that Borg phrase? We will assimilate you. Resistance is futile.
