I usually say somethin stupid but all I can say is I'm sad for the family.

All it takes is a panicked, lung-filling gasp, to get enough water in a person, even if the head is above water, to drown.
Dads, watch your kids when they are swimming. Don't be afraid to look like an over-protective idiot around water.

Don't assume you're safe in shallow water without a life jacket. Set your vanity aside and wear a life jacket at the lake!!!! Please!!!!

Not funny, not even remotely funny.

So how long have reporters been putting the phone # on there articles?
Not very smart idea if you ask me.

12:33...how insensitive can you be? We are talking about a 5 year little girl that had the rest of her life in front of her.

I have had 2 cousins drown, it is such an awful way to die. I pray for the families involved.

Someone please explain how a 5 yr. old could drown if she was swimming within a group of people.

Surely, someone in the group was watching her.

Don't pay any attention to trolls like 12:33. They're looking for a reaction.
My heart hurts for this family.

So sad. Go home and hug your children.

12:33 is referencing a different blog moment about a shark catching but still, that isn't the best post for here. Perhaps the shark post should have gone under the Random Thoughts instead? But then again it's Wise County- so it was probably meant to be interpreted the meanest way possible!

1:36 Obviously not.

OK 4:54,

I nominate you.

Lighten up. We're not exactly in church here.

I know of a swimming pool at a home in Wise county where two kids almost drown with others all around them. It only takes a second to swallow a big gulp of air into the lungs..and that is enough to drown a small child...that's why it is called an accident and a life jacket does not always save a life. I would never put a pool at my home.

What kind of people are you jerks who make FUN of this news? My gosh! Thankful you are not in my family, but then again, my family is not from the Tennessee hills like you all MUST be! Insensitive vermin! NO ONE is laughing at your repulsive, evil remarks. Demons! Pure devils!

12:33 - What good came from your post? Did it make you feel compassionate? I cannot understand, how people can be vile, and especially during a horrific accident. Your time and energy would be better served by praying for this family.

8:01. So now based on your comment, if you read about a child getting run over in their driveway, would you decide that you would never have a car at your house?

Wow! You would think he/she went political or racial on the subject. Was she a mexican?..just askin'.
