11:42, I agree completely. It is amazing what the old names around this town can get away with, but try to do something business wise as a newbie, and they shut you down. Then you show them how every other business owner is doing the same, and they break out the ol' "grandfather" clause, which I am quickly learning just means who your grandfather actually was. Have seen this many times on the sign ordinances, a new sign by an old Decatur name can look however, but you try and follow the rules and they only get tougher and more convoluted.
Fuzzy's is a chain. The other stores have done pretty well. Folks will drive from out of the area to eat at the other ones. If it can help bring some folks into the square to shop and leave their money, its a heck of a lot better than an empty store front with butcher paper in the window.
Hey, I like yellow, but this is too much! They need to tone that down a bit. You're doing great jobs on the square Mr. Moran, but please, tone this down some.
Fuzzy's is good. It almost makes me wish I still worked in Wise County....oh wait nevermind...that 5 years of my life sucked working for unappreciative crappy people of the west Wise. Bet it beats the gut bombs at 1 Stop
Main Street has been pusting the city for preservation code for several years and get push back from our city fathers. Maybe this will wake them up......probably not, jsut dreaming
WHAT THE HELL??? Where is our city council? Why has this not been stopped!? I drove by there the other day and it looks just awful! Sick!
Damn Mexicans!! First they infiltrate every house in the downtown area now we are going to sit by and watch our square look like some Mexican Market in Mexico?

I still don't want any fuzz in my taco ;)
Shades of Amarillo!
Yep, it will brighten things up. Now... if the food's edible AND parking can be located somewhere...it may stay in business for a while.
LOVE me some Fuzzy's! And yes, I know how that sounds! Dont care!
Isn't that paint job violating some Main Street program rule?????
Back in the 70's Tacos were a lot more fuzzy than today's Taco's.
You shouldn't be eating a Taco until it's fuzzed up or else there could be problems.
So what the Hell's next? A lime green Courthouse or somethin?
I like a good fuzzy taco, but not a yellow one.
It won't be here long. It is needed like a whole in the head and we sure don't need a drinking place.
Main Street violates it's own codes. The good ol boy network continues.
Papers Please.
a whole in the head? as opposed to a portion in the head?

Now boys, that's some mighty fine yeller paint. Mighty fine.
DF Walking Boss
Thinkin bout a fuzzy taco gets me to feelin kind of ....... anxious!
BEETLEJUICE
The older folks have no idea what a "fuzzy taco" is.
And there is a restraunt by that name on the square. Pure greatness.
Now if we van just get a hooters on either side of it we will have the whole package.
And a jewelry store that sells pearl necklaces...............
I hope we can get one of them adult toy stores soon.
Just what we need is a new mexican joint. I'll have the # UNO Dog eaters.
It's typical Decatur with the good ol' boy network, but hey...at least it's not Rhome!
Someone always comments about the lack of parking on the Decatur square. What a bunch of lazy people! Can they not walk 1/2 block?

And yes, they will serve beer. (Gasp!)

And a Senior Frog's!

We love the Fuzzy's off the square in Denton. The food is great, cold beer and it's open late. I'm glad to see it!
Looks nice and Mexican-y. Just like the rest of downtown Decatur. And when they close, there will be an ugly yeller building on the square.
The Nihilist
We're all doomed.
There is NO place to park on the square, even 1/2 block away. If you do, your hubcaps will disappear and end up in northside.
Shut Up!
Gimme back my hubcaps!
Great food, ugly paint that makes the square look like Tijuana, and is a violation of Main code, but where the hell are we gonna park?
There's plenty of parking after 6:00 pm. At that point it becomes a ghost town.

Ruins the entire square! RUINS IT!
The paint scheme won't last long. Too many people pissed about it. WTF was Fuzzy's management thinking?
The Main Street city people need a kick in the ass over this nonsense!!!!!
This makes the yellow paint makes it look like a Love's Truck Stop! I don't want 18 wheelers and Mexican prostitutes ruining our precious square!
