Offensive TSA Patdown?
DM – A traveller’s sobs were left ignored this weekend, as she was subjected to an invasive pat-down despite her cries – in another blow to the TSA. A video posted to YouTube captures the weeping woman’s ordeal during the security checkpoint at an airport in Madison, Wisconsin. Mr Hoft wrote: ‘This morning at a Midwest airport I witnessed this poor woman suffering through this horrible sexual violation’. It’s the latest in a long line of disturbing behaviour during security checkpoints. Loud sobs can be heard as the woman, wearing a pink sweater, is patted down by a female TSA agent. The woman is then left alone, and can be seen hunching over, her arms crossed across her body in humiliation.The TSA has come under intense scrutiny for the pat-down and body scanner policy in recent years, especially in the age of YouTube.

How is it that we care about our "rights" more than our security? Is it your "right" to be able to fly on a plane? How about to do it with whatever you want in your bag or person? Is that a right or a privalege? All rights and privelages come with conditions, welcome to life.

Flying is a choice--There are other modes of transportation. If you don't like the security, don't fly.

The agents at the Madison Airport could not be nicer, it is a very very small airport. I know this may shock some of you but there is a percentage of people that live amongst us who have mental illness. My guess and it is a guess is she is schizophrenic or has some other anxiety disorder that makes such a minor event upset her. I feel for the agent who has to do her job but deal with people of all kind, as I'm sure the anxious person does not understand fully what is going on.
Wow! It's nice to see such compassion, not!!!! I do care about safety, but that doesn't mean I want some stranger to touch me at all. It's easy to call her names and make fun of her, but you weren't in her shoes. You didn't see what happened before the footage you just saw. Would you all feel the same if it were your child getting touched all over? Obviously, it was a big deal to this woman for whatever reason. Show some compassion, please.
Just because she is crying does not mean she was wronged. I would want security to double check anyone that tried any method to not be checked.
