For instance, the CEO of Verizon got a $50,000,000 pay RAISE last year. Many of the bankers who caused the financial crisis not only got huge salaries, but also bonuses - for screwing up. It's those guys who hire the lobbyists and congressmen to keep them super wealthy while most others just get the scraps (even those only earning $1,000,000 a year).
Someone tell me how a small increase in taxes for those making over $1 million a year is going to hurt those poor millionaires. (It might even put some of those goofy "occupiers" back to work.)
