Has anyone informed Tom Bishop?
I'm willing to bet if this post goes up first, that someone will say "where was Tom Bishop"?
Rumor has it that he was trying to get away from Tom Bishop.
Man, "aroundthecorner", you were right! By the way, anybody see how many funerals were pending listed in the Update? 10!! What a long list!
Another way of saying it would be Niggardly but funny.
what is wrong with you people, a man has died and a family is hurting and all you can do is make fun of Bishop. The other night he was trying to find the car that was reported on the wrong side of the road, it was not a chase. Pray for these families, it could happen to any of us.
OMG, I hope it wasn't someone leaving from Josh's funeral!!!!
Thats why it's a NO PASSING ZONE, folks....
I agree 2:47.Who's going to start complaining about how dangerous 380 is and blame it on the state. I'm sorry for the families involved; but, he brought it on himself. Thank God he didn't choose one of my kids to run into while he was passing in a no pass zone. Idiot - God can forgive him, but I don't have that right, plus I wouldn't anyway.
There were people there all the way from Florida. I sure hope it wasn't.
CF is right. They say no passing for a reason.
3:13"Who's going to start complaining about how dangerous 380 is and blame it on the state."Me - that's who. That road IS dangerous and the state IS at fault for many of the accidents that occur on that road. But, do they care - NO - because even when found responsible - they can't be sued and don't have to pay a dime. It's no worse than walking into a store and slipping on mop water - the store is held liable for not providing a safe environment. It doesn't matter that the kid that slipped and broke his leg was acting like an idiot when he did it.I'm not saying that the man was or was not at fault. I cannot judge, I was not there and the scene is still under investigation. BUT, I CAN say, without reasonable doubt, that the state has been skirting the blame for way too long - contractors are getting rich while our people getting the shaft, losing their lives on a road that is a PROVEN HAZARD!As far as forgiveness goes - EVERYONE has the RIGHT to forgive....and if you don't, the Word says you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Forgiveness is the first key to healing - without it, nothing will improve.
3:13 - You're an idiot! If you don't have enough sense to NOT pass in a NO PASSING ZONE .. no amount of road work can help you. Take some responsibility!
I don't want to cast a dark shadow over a bad situation but could any of this possibly be Obamas fault?
4:05 I think you meant to say 3:52 is and idiot. I agree with you. If you pass in a no pass zone and kill someone it is not the state's fault. As for you 352. I don't listen to the Word much from other people. So I don't want to read any of your preaching! Have a nice day.I do not pass in a no pass zone and I do not speed. If we all did the same 380 would not be any more dangerous than any other road. People are just stupid on a long road. Must get board, as most of the accidents always involve out of towners. But, usually one of our own gets killed.3:13
He was wrong to pass, even if it was a slow ass tractor. IT WAS A NO PASS ZONE. Now there is one less idiot on the road! Sorry, but that's the way it is. bye byeDon't tell me I would feel differently if it was one of my children. I believe in karma. You know....what goes around comes around.
Ol Tom said he owned 380 and all the DWI's in the area I guess he missed this one. it's that old crown vic with all them miles on it that he put on it patroling 380 ya know. That guy and anyone that thinks he is doing such a good job needs to really ask around any REAL cop and see who will back him they all know he is a fool
I believe in Karma too, 5:22. I get really really sick of preaching and those who tell me what I would feel if it were my family, etc. Mind your own business and stay the hell out of mine and keep your preaching and prayers to yourself, thank you very much.
Post a constable in a new patrol car on every stretch of 380 with a no passing zone 24 hours a day. Problem solved.
yesterday. shame on Tom for looking to stop a wrong way driver. It was also said he was too zealous for working the hours. This vehicle passes in a NO PASS ZONE and its either the fault of the state or Tom's fault. You guys make me sick. I quess that next we will say that everyone deserves to be rich while sitting on their ass. Have your cake and eat it too.
Poor 3:13 - Bitter much? It comes from a life without forgiveness. Sorry - that's too much preaching for you, I'm sure. But when you've lost what we have lost on that road just in last year, prayer is all you got. I'm glad its not your kid too - you might not make it to Heaven to see them again. So sad.
So if the person in front of him was only going 22 MPH and no hopes of going any faster, does he own any of the responsibility? Double Fake Devil's Advocate
I read that this man was bipolar. People who are mentally ill and unable to work need help. How do we expect them to take care of themselves. He tried for years to get disability. All he needed was 600.00 a month. He was refused. We need a place for the mentally ill.We used to have facilities but our government let them all out. This a major problem that needs to be addressed.
From Denton Paper"County reacts to loss of fundsTxDOT took money from planned U.S. 380 projectWhen Texas Department of Transportation officials in Austin pulled funds from planned construction on U.S. Highway 380 in western Denton County, area officials chalked it up as another example of the department breaking an agreement with the county. While county officials prepared for projects to be constructed and funded in part by TxDOT, financial troubles with the state agency caused it to back away and count on the county to finish the work.John Polster, Denton County’s transportation consultant, said there were multiple projects in the works when local officials and those with TxDOT made agreements. The county did its part, he said, but when it came time for the state to contribute, it had a financial crisis and TxDOT balked at following through."Still think the State shares no blame? Bet those TxDot guys still got their big fat bonuses and contractor kickbacks! Just gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling inside, doesn't it?
8:01 sounds like the problem is solved...he's dead. Why should "we" support people like him? Not my problem, but you can fret over it if you so desire.10:27 boo hoo hoo. We don't all feel sorry for you and your whining. Better watch the judging other people or you might not make it to that heaven you talk about....if, in fact, there is such a thing which I doubt.
9:14I love it when you try to speak sense into a person that doesn't want to hear the truth, they call it judging. Fact is, I have faith in God - so I don't need you or anyone else to feel sorry for me. But I do feel sorry for you - you obviously need something to believe in.
Amen to that! 10:06! I bet Santa fills his stocking with reindeer droppings!
