Attack Of The Water Sprinklers

It's been a busy work day and slow Internet day, but I thought I'd throw this out. Stick with it. The station goes from "nothing will stop the show" to "we'll stop down the show to laugh for about a minute." Good times. And what a beating for the reporter to have to go set up his own lights and camera all by himself. (We learn that at the end.)

Busy work day? Don't make me laugh, BuBear.

They all handled with as much professionalism as they could, under the circumstances. Not like this guy.

Try this, Barry! Stimulate the economy this weekend - do what I did today. I went to the Hwy 82 garage sale, the 350 mile long garage sale along Hwy 82 and 287 that’s going on this weekend……….I heard it goes from Vernon on the west to past Paris on the east......is any town in Wise County participating?

I/we started at Saint Jo (SJ had the best stuff), then went to Nocona (not so good, but I got a few killer things there - supposed to be better tomorrow), then came back to Muenster, unloaded, ate lunch at Doc’s, then went on to Lindsay (nothing there today), then on to Callisburg - (a centralized town-wide garage sale at the park), and then we decided to call it a day. It was great fun! It's supposed to be bigger and better tomorrow, but I got enough stuff today!

If you care to be bored with my purchases today, here are a few of my favorites: a great satchel-$1; a Yamaha electric piano with stand & amp (older school, records on floppies and cassettes) but almost pristine-$25. (The 70 plus year old lady that owned it played me some beautiful songs as I was looking it over, and had tears in her eyes as we put it in the car, but then she reminded herself that she had a newer, better one and we all felt better)....a Jupiter tuba w/case to hang on the wall in the music room-$30; an Adirondak Chair and two tables, plus two monkey lamps, a fake plant, two cool wine carrying thingies, a clay sun to hang outside to go with my clay moon, and some other things I can't remember-all for $50;an untold number (at least 20 sets, not just pieces but sets), of 0-3 months baby girl clothes, all new with tags, two pairs of new baby shoes and some tights-$15; a big bag of homegrown onions-$1.

Has the WC messenger always had a mobile edition for it's web page? Cause it's pretty cool!

I thought we were talking about a news-guy in a sprinkler. What's up with the garage sale propaganda?

I believe all the kids should be very proud, Just making it there is a huge accomplishment! And Alvord didn't do too shabby. Bringing home 3 medals and very close to another one. That's great! We're very proud of all our Wise Cty athletes.
